my warranty will expire in january and thus the dealer says im a good candidate for an additional extended warranty...4 years/60,000 miles....$190 down and 100 monthly for like 15 or 17 months i dont recall....shud i do it? i already had to take it in for a brake job(warped discs) like 1.5 years ago and yesterday the idler pulley...what would you guys do? theres other stuff i may install if gone bad like a window regulator braqkes possibly the iwe's also buuuut wont know till what is wuts broken...

ideas on extended warranty? or shud i just save the cash for something else

Shop around. You can buy warranty's else where. I think that's steep. If I bought an 05-08 f-150 I'd really want the extended deal.. unless it was that much. Then I'd risk it.

since u guys say its steep, i think ill pass...rite now my economical situation aint bad to the point where the truck is the only thing i have to move around, plus im quite sure if a part fails i can always buy the part and take it to my mechanic OUTSIDE the ford dealership...they guy charged my pops like 1200 for a new radiator new belts complete tune up on the ol 5.0 on his 96...literally took the motor out cracked it open and checked everything from crankshaft to valves and the whole nine yards...it had 150,000 miles on it, and it was goin for a long road trip, so it was well worth it
