I'm not sure how that works but I would imagine it had to override the PATS system. Which in turn.. I guess if something was missing or removed and not put back when the harness what swapped out could affect it. Someone more familiar with remote starts/ PATS system will have to clear that up.

ok i took pics of the spliced wires and here is what i came up with...the one red wire is sodered with the red and yellow strip wire that connects onto the engine wire harness.... then the blue wire that is spliced is ran all the way to the driver side and was connected into the part of the harness that runs to the rear of the truck...

Dear baby jesus.. Please help this man in his trials as he sifts through the wreckage of wires in which I have never seen such carnage.

HOly macKaroni bro. The spliced wires go beyond the mysterious extra plugs. I see a whole pool of connectors near the air filter and soldered exposed joints near the battery firewall. Man. Where did the red male end that was near the filter go?I still don't know what the others are.. I'm looking though

Wait... whered the pic go that was near the filter with all the yellow twist connectors...?

Thats the only round 2 pin connector I can find on the passenger side. Theres one more but much smaller down on the inner fender trim. I cant find anything square with a brown end like the other one. Nor do I see any on the drivers side but 2, one goes to the MAF and the other sits right under the filter.. not sure what it goes to.

I'm thinking Black/LG is a ground, since I haven't looked at grounds yet.

Soooo, that's your AC recharge connector. Connects directly to the recharge post by the window washer box.

You haven't posted wire color on the others, - can't help there and you need to tell me what harness, - that would help as well.
