Tumba, I thought you where going to make a write up(how -to) out of the info I posted earlier , -and send me residual checks every quarter?

Nah, lol - It would be easier to figure out if he just started where I did that day, when I posted the vid,- and compare to that. Voltage can vary, but there is a greater than/less than threshold and he's beyond that, - or the meters set wrong.

Wheres that thread where I sortuh drew a quick map , I don't want to write that out again? I can't locate it.. ?

Lets see

Edit:

That's it! - jackhammer Test it like that , -it's fast an easy. That will tell you if everything is on the up and up.

BTW- Where in the hell did you learn how to "Suck Test" the EGR valve? That isn't right, just look-up Suck test on the site for the right info, - Remember put that Haynes book away for now, that will mess you up. It's not bad info in that manual, - it's more of a little chunk of Ford Diagnostics. Yea , Look up Suck Test. That has to be performed right in order to move on. Maybe Tumba can explain that one to you, -very easy.

What's up with that?

You know I'm not going to copy that. I was using it trying to help, and even posted the link to it. The picture source was even from your album.

I won't do it again. Have a good day.

You Da man!

BOYS! BOYS! If you can't play nice, it's time out for you two!
Ya Tumba, I think the ports still have to be clogged, so it's back to the cleaning board with another set of stems and B12. I'll let you two scrappers know provided you behave!

Mornin fellas... Sittin here suckin' down some java, contemplating the finishing of the tb cleanup (round 2) and a question popped in my half awake head... does the functioning/not functioning egr system have an impact on fuel mileage? I presume that egr stands for exhaust gas recirc and if so how does that (if it does) have an impact on fuel mileage? <yawn> Thank God for spell check. I've misspelled enuff times in this post already. I'm still half asleep

jbrew

I had him do it that way because he said the suck test made no difference. I just wanted to know if air was heard seeping around the diaphragm. I thought it was of relevance. Maybe not. But if he got chemicals in the valve, wouldn't he hear the leak?

Ok jb... here ya go..

Suck test complete w/engine off and NEW valve functioning perfectly. Movement heard, no hissing.

Suck test complete w/engine ON... no stalling/no change in engine idle at all

KO EOFF
vref is 5.04 from the front
and center back probed is .01 -.02

NEW OEM DPFE back test complete, idle 17.2v at rev goes up to 20.2v
meter is set for DCV (just in case ur wondering)

I did all this before and posted it with Tumba while you were AWOL and Tumba was hollering for you like DeNozo hollers for Gibbs

is that bastard sleeping on the job again? i tell yuh good help is hard to find these days
nah just kidding
so the valve is opening and closing properly? but doesnt bog the engine down? yea it sounds like the ports didnt get cleaned up.

17.2v at the dpfe? its only got a 12v battery in it or do you mean milivolts? you may want to double check that one.

Yes, something is up with that voltage.(Do you have the decimal point in the right place?) It's way out of range. Jbrew, maybe on the road working or something.

Did you take the EGR valve off of it? idk how well you cleaned the valve body, but I just don't see how it could plug back up that quick.

What code are you getting now?
