Did you see this one?

I will make a video today after work. I looked at that video. That noise seems to be synchronized with the rpms. Mine can fall out of sync. The video will explain it. I'll get on it in a few hours.

Sorry man Seriously though, there is link on this site to the cam phaser noises and one of them is a ticking sound. Actually a common issue with certain model year Fords. The link is to a video that plays the three different noises.

Just the idea of pouring anything in your butt is insane, but they did it on jack *** and am sure many other not so intelligent people have imitated the same.
But surely not Markho! Maybe they were tall boys?
Crap mannn, that's sick. Don't tell me, you seen that on "YourTube".

That's just ate up.

I still think it could be an exhaust leak. Go out and start the thing when it gets dark look around the manifolds for any arking/leaking. I had my header bolts on my Mach I come loose once and I was sure it was a rod knock. looked at it in the dark and I could see the flashes around the header.

Don't give up! Keep looking.

My almost new 70 Mustang 302 V8 started clicking. Sounded exactly like a lifter needed adjustment. I was used to Chevy V8s that were adjustable. Anyway, bought valve cover gaskets and removed the valve covers and found out they were not adjustable and were not clicking. It was something else. So, I listened carefully and found out the clicking was coming from the front of the alternator. I removed the alternator and looked at it and replaced the front bearing. It had a bushing in the rear. Still clicked. I was at a loss at this point. Finally, I found out the click was being made by the alternator belt. It was a V-belt and it was split a little horizontally. It went around the larger pulleys quietly but when it went around the small alternator pulley, it would click. So, all it needed was a new alternator belt. I felt like a dummy!!!

And drink a six pack quickly on an empty stomach when you are hot and thirsty. You will most likely get a good buzz. But, I know what you all are saying. When I was younger and was used to drinking, a six pack didn't do much.

Could it be the timing chain or timing chain tensioner, or the belt tensioner?

I'll take a look tonight. The motor still has great pickup and the compression feels the same. Just that damn noise.

I would be elated if that was the problem. How can I check for this? I have only one belt that drives all the pulleys.

Could it be the timing chain or timing chain tensioner, or the belt tensioner?
My noise happens when the motor gets warm. Would the timing chain do that?

This might be a clue, might not. Hows your pressure gauge react from cold start to warm ?

Here's a 98 -

Markho in one of your posts you said your muffler fell off. Do you have a muffler on there right now? It sounds like an exhaust leak or a rod. Oil PSI should be checked.
