When I get around to building me another. It 's going to be a 97 ta 99 or 00 [pre whenever they start f n with the body] scab with one of those..
With the economic set backs of inflation might be a while.

lol yeah headers in pic = blah! i like my obx long tubes, hope they hold up... as for my driveshafts i think theyll hold up its those pinions man. i already ate one with about 192k on a 4.6 at the time.

tumba, if ur referring to start of the 4-door scab vs 3-door i think it started 4-door at 99.

HEY! That's Fords HF "stubby" in the pic - To bad they don't use them on all the 5fours.

The shafts are tough , but I have seen a front shaft on these trucks twist in two. Don't you have lockers ? I thought you did.

I think Tumba's referring to the 04 and up

I just got back from the dealership ($106 for an extra key!) and they were telling me they sell an adaptor to put the 5.4 supercharger on a 4.6 for around $200.

Cavalier Ford in Chesapeake, VA (757) 424-1111. I talked to Mike Fish in the service department. He was telling me they did custom work at the dealership like superchargers and lifts. So I asked about the 4.6 and he said they put an adaptor on and it was about $200 extra. I dont know if thats if you buy the supercharger from them too or if its more expensive to buy the adaptor by itself.

but he mentioned 99 and 00, which is when 3door went 4. anyway yeah i have locker front and rear. seriously considering removing the front and replacing with the tru-trac. althought i have to admit, locked front climbs some knarly sh^#. climbed to the top of a snow pile that was steep as any hill ive tried on 2 wheels. it was 14ft high, probably 5 ft from the peak out to the base looking from above. oh and i didnt mention the dirt hill i had to tag at 45mph to get to the top lol.

klitch: not really the place for it, so we can be brief, but I am looking for your opinion.

Hows that rear locker ? Assuming you have it full time correct ? Detroit? Drive street much ? I am debating between a detroit full time or a selectable.

i have the detroit locker with eaton no spin (revised version i belive). i wouldnt have it any other way. that thing will get me plenty stuck in 2wd lol. its mostly a pavement stomper, it dont really wear the rear tires much unless my foots completely in it around a sharp corner. its very smooth as well.
