Champion Develops "FIX" Plug for 5.4L 3 valves!
I did start on it but I'm on dial up so it takes a while.....
My luck ran out, I broke 4 out of 8 plugs on a 06 5.4 yesterday. I took a picture of the plugs that snapped so everyone could see how they are breaking. These were so tight that you could hardly turn them the 1/8 of a turn needed to get the penetrant down.......

I don't know how they are selling them for $6.82 when everyone else is a lot more than that. X2 on I wish I bought mine for that price but oh well.
UPDATE: Now a little over 400 miles and my first tank of gas with the Champions and the engine is still running great and with same gas milage as before. I just put the truck back to 87 tune (93 is just too much $ these days) and the truck still runs great.

I do a lot of short trips to and from work which probably didn't help my case. Hope the techs put a nice coat of antiseize on there for ya so they will come out without problems
It's all a crapshoot anyhow.

I just had my plugs remove by my dealer at a couple miles under 36K. They said if any broke they would cover the extra labor under warranty so I let them do it. None broke and they all looked pretty good except a couple that did have some carbon on them. I did do a Seafaom treatment before I took it in but I can't say for certain that it really helped, how ever the mechanic did say they came out easy.
I really wanted to put this plug issue to bed, but. . .
While I was waiting for my Brisk plugs to arrive (so that I could get rid of these POS Champions), ANOTHER plug ceramic broke and caused significant misfire - it was bad enough that I did not want to even drive it. I strongly recommend that no one install these Champions.
On the lighter side, I received the Brisk Silver Racing plugs and did the install in a little over an hour. The truck now runs awesome. It is ironic that the Brisk plugs are less expensive than the Champions.
Champion should go back to thier old priceing model of $0.99 per plug (but I don't think they are even worth that).
Get the Brisk or the updated Motorcraft and forget these lawnmower plugs.

Wow I pulled my plugs from my truck at 48k miles and none broke, 2 threw a fit but WD40 and working them and I had no problems. Anti Seize FTW. I aint spending 18 on a plug. People just need to take their time and really work the plugs.
