Belt driven fans take power from the engine. It takes force to spin the fan as supposed to when you put efans on then you free up that little bit of draw.

I wouldn't buy a kit that runs rods or anything else through the radiator. I have had nothing but problems with EFan set up that way in the past. Troyers new kit comes with a different mounting system that actually mounts to the top of the radiator so that nothing runs through the radiator.

#1 Flex-a-lite
#2 JDM if you want a factory style shroud
#3 Troyer
#4 junkyard or ebay

I asked if the fans are made in the U.S. and if I could get pics of the controller setup. No sense in spending a good amount of money for a crap relay, wiring and junk fans.

I have not heard anything yet.

The Troyer kit no longer uses the rods. They have a custom bracket now. They are also on sale until the end of Jan.

That is an installation we did on the Roush project truck owned by Ken Payne that we have done all of the performance modifications on, from the supercharger to the boost increase, the upgraded ignition, dyno tuning, and much more - it's a beautiful truck.

The Group Buy price on our dual 16" fan kit for the 2004 & up F-150 is just $379+ shipping.

I would be very interested as i have heard great things about the troyer fans but they have always had a few big problems and it sounds like they have addressed them.

I tried the link in the post and it had technical difficulties. Bad link I guess...

I also emailed Troyer to see if they will be offering any group purchases for the 97-03 electric fans. I will keep you posted if I here anything. I know they stay quite busy.

Troyers new mounting system looks sweet. I'm just worried about relay and all the other problems that come along with the EFan. But it doesn't seem to be limited to one particular setup.
