by the way if you read about the fan kits, the lincoln fan moves 3500 cfm at only 15amps with this controller. that is alwsome.

I think that my fans only draw 10.7 amps on full power(3300 CFM's). So that would put me over 20 amps on two differnt controllers. At over 6500CFM's im guna move some air. Thats almost too much air right now!!! LOL

I ordered the fans two days ago, paying by pay pal, and they arrived today, man that is really good service. Brian sent the controller kit priority mail. Now I JUST need the time to get going. but just wanted to add that the slow shipping as experienced by buyers in the past was not my experience. Kudos to DCcontrol.com for their quick shipment. So now I have the fan and the controller. The wiring and sensor were included with instructions which are the same as the one you can download on his site. Wiring looks good, but I may solder and add some heat shrink, ( old navy do it to last).

Hey FXFORD did you run the contoller at the factory set of 180degrees? and did you hook up the igntion line for the fan to turn off when the key is turned off, or to batttery voltage to allow it to run after shutoff? I am very excited about adding this fan and controller. Maybe sometime next week.

I set mine at 202* that is the temp our trucks run best. I am not sure what fuses I got my power from, I'll check and get back to you. Fuse locations for a 2002 and a 2005 might be different though.

I see your picture, but cant tell how you mounted the fan, Did you make brackets, cut the fan shroud down, Give me some info. If I mount the fan to the radiator with the shroud, there looks like about a 5 or 6 inch area of the radiator that will be exposed. Am I right. I guess if about 80 % of the radiator is covered you are OK. I looked at the picture again, I see you mounted through the radiator, Did you center it on the radiator? The temp probe position is on the left side I am assumming .

Hey FXFord I am watching my fan light now and it is funny, When at highway speed the fan is coming on at low speed, (65) and when I drop to 50 or less the fan is shutting off. I set my controller to 202 like yours, and the temp seems stable on the dash at all times. I read the radiator with a infared temp reader and the fan comes on at around 206 degrees and just fast enough to maintain 202. The AC position turns the fan on at 50% just like the controller is supposed to. I have the same set up as you do except I extened the shroud about 6 inches to the right side of the vehicle, so that I left about 4 inches on the left side of the radiator without shroud. I put the temp controller down on the bottom left of the radiator close to the bottom hose as recommended by the controller instructions. everything works fine, but I am confused why the fan is on at highway speed though it is at slow turn. You dont suppose the thing is acting like a generator and turning from the breeze and indicating on the LED?
