From Autometer:
Look at the drivers side of the engine block, from underneath the
vehicle. Below the last freeze plug there will be a threaded in
adapter.
If it requires an allen wrench to remove, it is then a standard
3/8"NPT
If it requires a box end wrench or socket to remove, it is then a 16mm
x1.5 thread size and if you are installing an electric gauge, you may
use an Autometer #2268 adapter.

Hey guys, i crawled under the truck today and only could find the where the block heater is plugged in. Am i missing something or is that the hole, where the heater is that i am going to use?

It will be maybe 3 to 5 " above where the oilpan bolts on the bottom of the block.
