testing that in a wide open parking lot at 3 am would prevent ditches but does add the whole lightpole problem.

Sweet,

It's nice to know that there are people out there that know what their doing. Hopefully, it can get finished before Thanksgiving

Kee-Rist, Joey... it's about fekkin' time.

Say - if he's already an SCT tuner, what additional s/w would he need?
Should have everything on hand already....

Good thing you avoided a potential meltdown up until now, with all of those runs you did.

Wow,,,thats great news!!!!
I think you'll be very happy with the results.
My tuner/bilder is a Mustang guy and only works on Fords. Tuning and blowers and such. He knows his sh*t.
Oh,,and about the same distance as the guy you found.
If hes as good as my guy,,,you have it made now!!!

the software he needs is the file to tune my processor, he said its classified as "other fords", and he didnt buy that when he bought everything else because not many people with the 97-98 f150's get tuning

OK guys. New tune is done finally after 6 hours...! took a LOT of modifying, that other guys tune was nothing but crap. We got this thing dialed in perfect in every area, took it for many test drives, had to data log and before, I could go from a dig in 2nd to log and not bark the tires, this time we logged it, i put it in 2nd, came to a 5mph roll, nailed it and spun for like 20 feet lol. It was about 10.9-11.2 af and not much timing, so we went back to the shop, he changed a bunch of things, went on another run, did a 5mph roll in 2nd, nailed it, went sideways and spun for like 80 feet... much more power, about 11.7 a/f. did a few more changes, now I have 11.8-11.9 across the board! right around 16* of timing. it starts up now very fast and runs much smoother. shifting is also MUCH better, its like a whole new truck. If it went sideways and burned the tires in 2nd gear during that data logging, what is it going to do when i take off in first???? hmm.... these gas prices are killing me! He said he will write me a second tune when ever I want so i can run 87 octane, take a bunch of power away, and give me very good fuel mileage for trips, now that would be sweet.

Ya. Told you the other tuner was chit, lol.

You want him to write you a nice mild 'bad gas' tune - ya never know.
