New f150

Just bought a new 07 f150 . I had driven ford all my life went to toyota and realized how good I had it with ford. Is there anything i should know about the new generation truck 04 and on (TSB's, prone failures, mechanical, etc.) Your help in much appreciated.

At the top of the website is the link to Recalls and TSBs. Be familiar with them. There's a bunch of members here that seem to really know there stuff, but there's a low tolerance (it seems) for those who do not do a search before they ask questions in some cases.

I'm sure you'll have all the kinks worked out in the first 10K miles.

Congrats on your new truck so far I haven't had any problems with my 05 very good built truck.

hey i just got a used 2004 f150 i drove toyota all my life and i can't believe what i was missing. i love my truck the thing is just unstoppable. good luck with yours

Question confused

oh and did you figure out what the button is next to the cigarette lighter with the P on it. i don't have a clue?

damn buttons

it only pushes in its has a P on it and it kinda looks like a sailboat? hahah it makes no sense. but i tried to pull it out . it only pushes in and when i pushe it in it lights up green like its on or something? and nothing changes when its on? hah i have no idea.:santa: i figure i should put the santa haha makes me happy

not familiar with 04+ models. whats the passenger side airbag turn off/on selector? on the 97 i have it requires the key.

I would venture to guess that is is the switch for the back up warning system.....

its not the passenger airbag i thought that but that has some sensor thing in it and that is above my head unit. and the back up parking sensor automatically comes on when i shift it in to reverse. i dunno maybe this button turns it off? ****in ford had to make things to damn technical

That button on the right -




Yeah , there should be a little book (manual) in the glovebox . That will tell yuh what it does..

Yeah, that shuts off the back up sensor. But, if yours goes off all the time, I'd check that out. Over the winter, my sensors would beep at the damn snow, and cars driving by as I was backing out of my driveway.

whats wrong with it beeping at cars behind ya aside from the fact that sounds like it was really close lol.
