thats exactly what it is, its to turn off your back up sensors. i think its one of the best features my lariat has, i like them to be as sensitive, it caught me from raming into a kid riding her bike right behind my truck when i was backing out.
they automatically come on each time you turn on your truck, if you are towing anything, just hit the button to turn it off.
congrats on your truck, i think its one of the best trucks you can get for the money.
the only problems i had was my brakes, HOWEVER, i was running 24" rims on my truck, which applies more of a load on my truck brakes, ever since i switched back to stock rims and tires, zero issues and better fuel economy. plus the stock lariat rims/tires look pretty damn nice lol
besides that zero issues with 27,000 miles on my 2005.
