HI! How is the exchange going? I need to know the height difference between the 2vPI
intake on F150 vs PI intake on mustang? The exchange is no problem but I have 2005
4.6 2v PI engine from my totaled F150 and intake manifold is much to tall for my 1929RPU so want to change to mustang intake if it is a lot shorter.

Dude look at the previous post date. This thread is 4 years old...If he doesn't have it finished yet you don't want any of his advice. Maybe start a new thread before you get flamed here.

Thank You for bringing that to my attention sorry I did not look at the post date.
I do need to know the difference in height between the 4.6 2v PI F150 intake and the
Mustang 4.6 2v PI intake manifolds as my 2005 engine when set in the 1929 RPU frame
extends 8in above the front of the fire wall. Any help would be appreciated Thank you in advance
Sincerely
Steve

Ok. I just measured a 4.6 truck intake complete with the throttlebody installed. From the bottom edge that sits on the cyl heads to the highest point which is at the top of the IAC on top of the throttlebody adapter its almost exactly 13 inchs. Add an 1/8" or so for the intake gaskets. Couldn't tell you what the Mustang intake height is but for sure it is considerably lower. Good luck.

He made that post in 2007, and he also said that he was talking about 2v engines, not 3v engines..............
