Ok, so your not one of those living in your parents basement, sitting at a computer, wearing your Power Rangers pajamas, drinking juice boxes, and lighting your farts on fire.
Seriously, good luck to you!!!

so chill out theres still tons of useful info in here, yeah we buried it but its in here.
Jbrew!!! i found a long arm design for my front a-arms im probably gonna make lol... now i just have to design a swing arm for the rear that mounts the 2 coilovers in the middle (i figure where the spare tire use to be is a great place to mock up a new shock tower.) without causing binding issues.

For the rear I was thinking more of a leading axle design - to spread out the impact weight, if your going wit a mono-shock design , it's gotta be in front of the axle. Prime example would be the Yamaha concept back in , CRAP!! 1979 HAHA - Now , I'm not that old , I just know my history :o Roger Decoster first put a ridiculous looking front fork design w/Moholland Boogs for Suzuki , then went to Yamaha and connected with the first Mono Shock design. Do you remember how much more forward the shock was placed going from dual to single dampening design - that revolutionized the suspension systems in Motorcross.
Micky Thompson used a similar design in the super truck series (off road truck racing)but it didn't hold up. They ended up with twin shocks in the rear that came up thru the back of the bed - those shock's were 3 foot long
- they held up thow , but that truck weighed a ton.. I think it really can be done Klitch, seeing how todays engineering software (progresive) does all the figuring for you as long as you give it perimeter limits and distibution parameters, the software figures all the inbetweens - they didn't have that sh^t back then.
That's enough , I freakin hate reading long posts myself so I gotta get out of this habbit quick

and did you lose a lot of bottom end on your 4.6 when you put them on? I was thinking about a set of shorty JBA headers.

well ruger yes i do care about my post count b.c ive done alot of posting here on this site. And if you read any sample of my posts i dont normally post *****, i try to help out where i can. And this post is not to argue, its to be informative
Just so you know, ruger, im a full time college student at TSTC waco (Texas State Technical College) and am 2/3 done with getting an associates degree as an automotive repair technician. So i know a good deal more then your average guy on the forum. I also have never claimed to know everything, and i sure as hell am not correct all the time. But thats part of learning, if you screwed up or said something incorrect, learn from your mistakes...
Full time student, currently part time job, but since 16 ive worked almost full time, or full time jobs up until this year. 30-40hrs a week... Ive never had anything handed to me, i do my work myself, i work for what i have.....
Ive caught Wandell on a technical error once or twice, it happens we all make mistakes... And i think just about everyone trusts his overall tire sizing abilities/experience.

that statements like saying paper header gaskets are just fine! yeah if you dont mind having to replace a few before they hold up...

ill put money down that my built 4.6 when im done with it will make more power than his 5.4 even with a boost compression ratio
and it will last longer than a month

stock head gaskets will last 150K+ miles.. he was asking for what lasts longer. cometics are thicker than OEM MLS gaskets and coppers are for a deck that isnt level... i never said anything about paper?? wtf are u talking about. neal is running a cometic or should i say was.. he was on low compression with no boost. so i guess he does need something tougher.. since that motor we all know failed 3 times..

i was sayin that oem mls is like using paper header gaskets... hit or miss a lot of the time
