And klitch i really am not big into the 4x4 scene, so i dunno about remembering every last detail of y'alls trucks... So how far above sea level are you?

Why , whats goin on , your converter holdin up ?? you'll most likley fry your clutch pack first before an axle shaft - specialy if you get on it turning right...

You can pull the shafts and look for signs of twisting - the shafts will flake and discolor, I had that happen w/4.11's and detroit lockers in another truck..

It's amazing what a programmer, intake, and SIDO exhuast ill do, with stock tires and stock susp. So no I'm not full of poop, I just keep the rest of the drivetrain inline with the power of the engine. It's amazing what the 4.6 ill do w/o huge tires and a lift bogging it done.

Oh yeah, I'm running the stock 3.55LS unit too, no cheating with 4.88 gears on this side of the fence.

sorry, my comeback is a little late and on the wrong page 190 pages, I've been busy with my formula car team, been up for 40 of the last 48 hours, just had time to come back and get some good laughs...No, I know my 4.6 has its limits, but it good little engine and I'll defend it to the death, just like that blue oval on the tailgate, FOREVER FORD!!!!

... i have GEARS that make it a deeper ratio than stock.. therefore i should be able to light em up, but cant. thus the 4.6 is a lame duck.

jbrew, if i get on it turning any direction will be BAD, locked up lol.
im more worried about snappin of shafts.

Opps , The LS pac is no more

That's a good guess- keep it straight as you can to save them shafts and fix it ASAP - Yes the axles WILL SNAP lol..But the good part about the clutch pac going bad is that they don't fall apart inside of there..

Well, I have something to look forward to lol, I know my clutch pac is weak , I can feel it slipping a bit on the turns. Just wait until I install troyers kit Monday night - haveing a few poeple over for that , I'll take pics of the install out in the shop . Reminds me , I have to stock the fridge back up again..I'll prolly break a few things with my tranny hitting hard again as well..

I know you are running shorter gears, which is why you should be able to do it more often than I

Oh and Patrick as far as peak power in my 5.4L anyway - it's when I hit about 3600 RPMS when it puts you back in the seat and pulls like hell.

Have you done any porting or polishing -

Or is it still stock w/anti sludge on it -

Smooths it out quite a bit
