when ford went to 8 thread spark plugs.. they had an abundance of heads they arent going to put on their vehicles anymore so patriot bought them for cheap!! so yeh the heads u buy from patriot will have the spark plugs back or blow out.. so its best to timesert them if u get partiot heads.

I guess I shouldnt say bottom of the barrel sucky, but there is better that I would much rather have. Patriot had some problems when they first brought out these mod heads, but that has been taken care of for the most part...they can still be somewhat of a hit or miss product though...They are getting better though...

$1395 solves your short term problem.

http://www.karkraft.com/short_blocks.htm

this would easily hold your current power level, allow you time to find the right engine builder. nothing or very little in your short block is responsible for the nice power level you are making. the heads and cam are responsible for most of it.

while i dont see eye to eye with you on a lot, i think your current situation stinks and you dont deserve it, you did everything right except to trust your engine builder.

At this point i would play it safe and start looking for a new engine builder, buy the KARKRAFT short block and enjoy your truck. I wish you nothing but the best. If in Doubt call JMC, he seems about at level headed and straight thinking of a friend as anyone could have.

yeh im starting to feel neals pain with his engine only mines less expensive but still a headache... i first took driveshaft in to get it balanced... it was supposidly balanced but still vibrated. so i had a new one made it vibrated slightly at a certain speed. so i took it to a shop had it supposidly balanced now it virbates even more. so far ive waste 93 bucks to supposidly balance the drive shaft and they only made the vibration worse on a perfectly straight driveshaft. so i talked to the guy who made it and were gonna go for a 2 peice. which is what i wanted to do in the first place but i took some bad advice and kept it 1 peice. so imma be spending another 200 bucks. to get this new one cut. center bearing, cross member to mount it, 2 yokes and a u joint... and hes gonna have to order parts so hopefully till then i wont destroy my carrier bearing or break off the tailshaft on the transmission.

Sorry to hear about this, but a new truck will be a good break from the frustration. Good luck.
