Doing some maintenence, need some input

Ok, I plan on doing a some maintenace sometime soon and here is what I have planned-

motorcraft or bosch o2 sensors
Accel distributor packs
motorcraft fuel filter
motorcraft PCV valve
Plug wire
Maybe a new tranny filter and fluid, rear end oil, and a cooling system flush. Truck has 123k miles and im not sure if those things have ever been done. Not sure if i want to do them though.

Thats all I can think of so far, the more major schedueled maintenece stuff. Can anyone think of any other things? I put some Autolite platnum plugs in it about 6,000 miles ago so I shouldnt need new ones. Any Idea on what brand of plug wires to use. Motorcraft, Ford racing, Accell, Etc?

Also, if anyone had an idea of what any of the motorcraft things would cost that would be nice.

Thanks

i would think about ripping of the IAC cleaning that good.. taking off at least the air intake and cleaning the tb.... its better to take the tb off completely becuz you can clean it way better but its your choice! hope that helps a little .

More stuff ...

Hi Bartak;

- Front O2's only, unless it's throwing codes. Bosch. AutoZone charged me $50.

- Drain the TC too.

- Bleed the brakes - replace with fresh brake fluid

- MC fuel filter cost me $20

- Hoses?

- air filter?

- belt(s)?

Cheers

Thanks guys. We are headed to town later to pick up our new TrailBlazer so I will have to get some of this stuff.

What did you use to clean the MAF sensor. Just wipe it out with a paper towel? What about the wire in there?

Thanks

i saw a post a few days ago with all kinds of cool pictures on cleaning the maf. you want to use electrical contact cleaner to clean the thing. the post very explicitly says to NOT use Q-tips, brake cleaner, or any other cleaner not intended for electrical circuits. i think the company that makes the electrical cleaner is crc. i found some at advance.

you can probably find the post pretty quickly with the search button.
