lol sorry guys i know u missed me i was at work so the menace is back and yeh a repeating firewall for those who dont know computer is a built in firewall in a layer 2 switch ot a router that makes it very difficult to get into because if someone tried to get in the firewall changes his ip and port number making it very difficult to get into because u have to change your destination address every time. and yes i'm the master mechanic and a computer science major and a math major :-p

he had 225 hp and got 55 from the 3 mods=280 hp-

the line about knowing more about engines than neal is just plain amusement

lol d@mn ever heard of an estimate guess on how much the mod's added for all u know they did and ur engine may just suck compared to mine so thats why i got more out of those mods. or the pulleys i had gotten were custom made out of titanium to be ultra light and durable and harmonicly balanced and my high airflow intake i could have modded so that the air once it runs through the filter is spiraled through the intake to compress the air and the TBS just adds to the compression of oxygen all this u dont know so just shut up already u seem to have nothin good to add so just leave it be. also for all u know neal could have just come accross some dude named neal that has a truck like that and used the link to make himself be all prideful cause he may know how to change the oil in his truck. so for all u know Neal could be a phony and just use someone elses links. cause as u know this is online not p2p.

Gee I think you're hinting at something about yourself there maybe?

Neal is way more credible than you. He has a ton of pictures (which means it would be very difficult for some non-Neal person to come in and pretend to "be Neal"). Neal has 2000+ posts. He has been here for several years. His information is
1) rational
2) more than likely the correct issue
3) If he doesnt know for sure he doesnt post or he tells the person how to find out more

Your posts OTOH:
1) Full of BS
2) Change every 5 minutes
3) No proof
4) Almost always obviously wrong or just a good way for the person to spend a bunch of money he doesnt need to...

And if you should try to attack me (which Im sure youll try to do)
I admit I dont know as much as alot of people here. Im still learning. So for the most part I try not to post any info that wouldnt cause the person to kill their truck or spend a crapload of money they dont need to spend. Otherwise I dont say anything.
ie, I'll say "go get your codes read at AutoZone because its free" or "Alot of people on this board seem to like Mobil 1 oil...but Ive also noticed alot of people have no problems with dino oil (which I use)"...or something along those lines.

1. a router or a L3 switch does not operate at Layer 2, that would be a L2 switch, or a bridge.
L3 is where NAT or PAT takes place, so the L2 router ( read Ethernet switch or bridge ) does not have the ability to see layer 3 ( IP layer ). It works at the MAC layer, which would be a OUI or MAC addr based filter device, which builds a forwarding table of MAC addr, and does not look beyond the offset for L2.

2. Either it is PAT or NAT, it is not a combo of both. Check what all the firewall mfgrs are doing. NAT is either 1:many, or 1:1, or 1ool and for the session ( read L3 flow ) it is the same through out the session. There would need to be a Cray computer behind the function to keep track of what you are talking about, to track all the IP flows. BTW: the exterior address would need to be the same through out the session, else it would not work with any TCP based protocol ( FTP, HTTP, HTTPS, POP3, POP3S, etc ). UDP depending on the protocol might sustain a chance, but that is for very few of the protocols ( tftp would break in a heartbeat ).

L3, the MAC changes with every router hop, ARP is a local protocol with L3. So I guess a router in general ( by YOUR terms ) is a repeating firewall. Read some of the IEEE specs and learn something ( BTW: yes I am a member of IEE for quite a few years now..EE degree ).

Sorry I had to look again, as your knowledge of L2 & L3 is about as detailed as your knowledge of engines. Mr. CS major, and math major.....get a spell checker already...and read those books you buy every semester, rather then what you seem to use them for...as a jack stand.

This is getting better by the moment.......... What a dope ( yes now it is personal..by your actions ) Maybe I should give it up already There is no hope of getting through to Mr. know it all at his experience level.

wow someone knows how to Crtl+C Crtl+V Cisco and novell are different in some ways. but novell is a better course i took cisco system up to 4 then got into novell. but i'm not gonna get into hacking or anything like that cause the very mention of the work hacking turns on the "recorders" to record everything said afterwards and when i was refering to repeaing firewall thats new technology i read about in soon to come cisco routers and layer 2 switches not somethin currently in use. and no i dont have the article anymore it was something i read about at work. when i worked for the school disctrict. gawd their network was foched up. but its better now..... still has its problems but its virus related.

That is the first thing I can think of that you got correct. One is a server operating system company, one is a network infrastructure equipment company. Both use the standards of IP ( RFC based rules ) and today Ethernet ( IEEE 802.3 rules ). Please no one bring up Broken Ring, I still have nightmares about that..

Here we go again with the secret decoder ring....

4.6L,

Here is an example of your creative expertise.

From the following thread.

https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...hreadid=154306

crownlinelpx was asking for help to fix a power loss in 90+ degrees weather.

4.6L answered;

so i guess one way to solve this problem could be to get an intercooler for your intake, get ram air hood for your truck:-p or rig up a CO2 tank to your intake and when u want the boost just press a button=P

Were you dropped on your head as a baby?

I kind of liked this one...original poster hears a noise coming from under the engine compartment, and 4.6L here suggests that a lifter is going bad

OK...No one got my sarcasm in my post on pg 7? (8?) When i was talking about Firewall traffic adding horsepower i was being VERY sarcastic...

My FIREBOX DOES NOT!!!!!! ADD HORSEPOWER.

NOR CAN IT BE DESCRIBED AS A 5.4 MOD!

I made a new thread in GENERAL DISCUSSION CALLED:
Flame 4.6Lpwnage here...

I liked this thread when it was merely a 5.4L truck thread...

begrudgingly it has become an entertaining mix of flame and tech... BUT IT's IN THE WRONG PLACE!!!!
