Do you have to have a cage on thes like a 2# lower though ?? ( BTW: I am not trying to start a L tuner war with that one ).

My dad works for the manufacturer and has inside information, there has been great demand for the fluid recently and factory is having a tough time getting the SPECIAL additive required for manufacturing, they anticipate a delay of at least another 6-8 months!

I kind of liked this one...original poster hears a noise coming from under the engine compartment, and 4.6L here suggests that a lifter is going bad

hmm john if u read later on in the forum he turned out to be correct it was a bad lifter...

f150mech,

We do not know for sure yet. Read the last post. They are checking the cam and sensor. Odds are it has something to do with the variable cam timing which would include the followers, aka lifters. I hope for Unhappy that he doesn't have to wait two weeks like mrrich did.

JMC

BTW do you work at a dealer?

For myself, yes just a little bit. I should not have let him get to me that bad, but trying to get across the idea of this won't make him a valued member here, did not work.
He liked to point out that we don't own the place. He's correct, the guy that banned him does. What does that tell you.

It was a bit too much when he started making comments about Neal's mom though ( I want in on that action if it happens, I'll put 1 large on Neal's mom ).

Strange part : nascarjoe seems to have hit the nail on the head, he is the "Alpha Male" of his group and won't take a hint. Steve had to ban him a second time, as he sneaked back in under a different S/N to try to build up his previous posts by agreeing with himself

Where does it say that? His last post says they are checking the cams and they are still on a wait and see position.

Bye...for the 2nd time.

It is OK to get wound up every once and a while. It is good for the heart. Besides it is in the best interest of the members here that bad advice be checked out. Specially when one says his source is a 19 year veteran of automotive mechanics. Now the icing on the cake is when someone makes a fool of themself by insisting that the moon is made of cheese. It's not, it's made of Jello.

JMC

PS. SSCULLY told me it was Jello and I believe him because he's smart.
