My dad is an electrican, does that mean that I know electrical ? Not necessarily. Just b/c you are around it, does not mean you know to do it. Neal's tires are not that big, if you were looing at the correct gallery. It is not like he is running 315's or anything.
Teachers prove that one every day.
BTW: Do I see another race never to happen at a MCD's again ? This sounds just like him....

HI!... So now you have more mods than you stated earlier A aftermarket maf and a tuned PCM. Make up your mind. By the way JMC had my tires on his truck when we were at the dyno. So you can't use the *BIG TIRES* as a excuse. Now how many other mods havn't you told us about? If you run your truck at the dragstrip, what does it run? 60FT, 1/8 mile, 1/4 mile, mph???? What were your RWH.P/TQ #'s?

I've run a documented 14.49E.T @ 96MPH with my truck 2 years ago. Much faster now I do 0-60MPH in 5.4 seconds with a 60FT of 2.0.

Ok this gets better. The Ford.com site uses crank HP and torque. You dynoed on a chassis dyno and claim to be making 55 hp more at the rear wheels than Ford can make at the crank. So you are making 220+55 = 275 HP and 290 +60 = 350 Lb/ft at the wheels. All this with 3 mods.

BULL!!!!!!

Unless you want to be branded a LIAR list all your mods now.

not quite so respectfully,

JMC

EDIT: BTY your profile lists the truck as a 97 so I used the lower Power numbers.

Lightning Exhaust
Programed PCM
Cold air intake
TB Spacer
Pulleys
Performance Plugs and Ignition wires

the exhaust dont do much nor does the MAF cause its off of a 2003 model 5.4L. so i only listed mods that make a difference. and only thing we did to PCM was shift points throttle responce and moved the top speed to 120.

PS: well some people learn from their fathers by spending time with them. others dont so does that answer your responce? and my father was also an electrician at one time=P

Cool

Regardless of whether you THINK that the modifications that you have done adds or subtracts HP & TQ from your output has no bearing on what the actual outcome is. There is a reason that Ford put the "Lightning Exhaust" on the truck just like they put a different exhaust on the the Harley trucks. It delivers an added bonus for the motor to do its job. So, in essence the MAF & exhaust has changed your HP & TQ regardless of what you may think. Hell, you may have even lost some by doing those mods to the truck. The only way that you can absolutely know for certain is to test each part before and after to see what the difference is on the truck on the same dyno. It has been tested that a Lightning will loose HP & TQ when a flowmaster exhaust is put on the truck. But you take the same truck, same dyno and put a Magnaflow exhaust on and the truck actually makes more HP & TQ than stock. Magnaflow is the only company that I am aware of that acutally made HP & TQ on the Lightnings. Also, if your father changed some configurations in the PCM, then he could have also changed the delay for close-loop .... or was that open-loop JMC, can't remember for sure. JMC's truck was actually delayed for a full 9 seconds which was not found until the truck was on a dyno. That has since been changed by Mike Troyer with the Superchip. Every part that is changed on a vehicle does affect its operation whether a little or a huge amount, it has changed and sometimes for the worse. ALL specs from Ford and most other companies state that HP & TQ from the flywheel and not from the rear-wheels. All dyno specs except engine dyno state their specs from the rear-wheels and then you have to add on the drivetrain lose for that specific vehicle.

Oh and one more thing .... these " " displayed throughout your posts only shows how young you really are !!!

Have Fun & Keep on Truckin'

Does that answer my response, no it tried to answer my question, which you missed completely. Nice try at a flame though.

Let's end the BS, post a time slip or a dyno sheet if you expect anyone to believe the list you have found a way with that list to get 275 RWHP out of a 4.6L.

If that could have been done with a 4.6L with that low of cash outlay, I would not have started with a 5.4L in the first place, prior to my mod list.

4.6lpwnage,

You first stated they you got about 55 Hp and 60 lb/ft of torque from 3 mods. On top of that you stated that, that was above the Ford numbers yet you never measured them on an Engine Dyno but a Chassis Dyno. Then you change your story and all of a sudden you have more mods. You are acting like a child that just got caught fibbing and now the story is different. So do you admit that you were full of Shït in the first place?

No more respect for you left,

JMC

Izzy is not trying to insult you, he is only pointing out how your posts are being viewed. Now you want to start pulling this BS with the members here ( any, senior or not ), you are going to wind up like the others that did. Without help on anything.
Posts like this have a way of getting around, and people avoid those members like the plague.
You race your truck all the time, and have had it dyno'd, but have no documentation. That is strange....you wonder why is sounds like a fib ? Seen plenty of posts like yours, that turn out to be nothing but BS. Not a single member pulling this type of stunt has been around for too long.
Admit you got caught with your pants down ( or prove other wise ) and we'll move on. Keep it up, and empty replies will be the way of your future here. We have a way of policing our own postings without Steve having to get involved.
BTW: Your implications of u decide mr senior member since u are mr old i know everything i've been driving longer then u been alive if u wanna say so are not making any friends either.
Get a spell checker as well.

i just get aggravated with arrogant people who just because they are older think they should know more. i didnt come on here to get help, i got all the help i can get from my dad. i just come on here to help other people. and yes i race all the time but i do it for fun not to like give myself a "big head" like most of your seem to do so i dont need documentation when my friends are in the car riddin along for the fun. and just so u know it cost 5 to get into the track. 10 to race all u want and 10 for a time slip run. i didnt feel like waistin 10 bucks for a time slip run cause it aint a big deal to me =P
