You can always use the digital speedometer trick on the odometer. I've read mine to 123mph before.

actually it leaves the rev limiters and removes the top speed limiter. It leaves the rev limiters to protect your engine. i don't think it even raises the rev limiter...maybe by a couple hundred rpm. but not much if at all. just FYI

Ooops, thanks LBC, that's what I meant, speed limiter. Yea I think it may lift the rev limiter slightly as well. I know a custom program can be burnt to do that, but they advise not to do it very much. The more agressive the program, the greater risk you run. Always a trade off with performance.

ain't that the truth. oh well.

i made the same mistake as you...i thought that they did remove the rev limiter completely. Mike T. in the computer chip forum set me straight. just passing on the knowledge...aren't these boards great!

I race a friend of mine who has a 2001 GT Grand Prix. We race all the time, and its pisses him off that I can stay right with him and even pull on him some times. The problem I had is that my truck shut down at 100 and his car didnt shut down till 107, so he could stay there and taunt me. Well about a week ago my super chip came in. I put it in and didnt tell him. Last weekend we raced, you should have seen his face when I hit a 100 and didnt stop. He floored it and when he hit 107 I just keep going till I hit 115 {I used the digatl speed odometer} them I just backed off. Just thought I would share my story with yall.

I love racing those supercharged grand prix's !!!!!!

They too are amazed that i slowly pull on them. Bone stock I get them by 5 lenghts 110mph. I didn't know that they shut off so early... I suppose that's why I pull hard on them after 105. Thanks for that Info!

Lightly modded with basic mods I'm either right there next to them or they have my by a 102 lengths at 100mph. I couldn't believe it when I was 1 length in front of a supercharged GP up to 60mph. I had the girl with me in my truck and she was like . She always thought they were real fast

Hey Tally, What do you think of the supercharged Nissan Trucks. Its quite funny. They think that just because there supercharged they can beat anything. Whats bad is that the charger only adds 40hp over stock. It takes from 170 to 210. Dont know what they where thinking on that one?

Never heard of them actually...

only 40hp over stock... not suprising really. 23% increase.

the svt focus does the same ... focus = 127.... svt = 170

right?

Yea I wish the Nissan supercharged trucks had more useable power up higher in the band, but they do exactly what nissan wanted them to. Gives you more power down low where you need it in trucks for 4WD or towing.

Beat anything???? Who ever called the s/c Frontier's fast??? They are slow! It's like calling a stock 4.2 fast, they do about the same thing performance wise.

What I was talking about is a guy I know who bought a crew cab supercharged with an auto. trans. He thought that just because he was charged he could walk all over me and any body else. But about a week after buying his trucked he changed his mind. Didnt take him long to see that his truck is just that a truck, not some high preformance sports car.

Raced a Nissan Sentra GXE

My Girlfriend was talking ***** one night saying that she could smoke me in her little Sentra GXE 4 cylinder, so I said bring it and get your feelings hurt! We lined up and she said she wanted to count to 3 and then go. This is her count to three...1....GO!!!<<Women always lying! As you know she had like 5 car lengths on me, and let me tell you that the Sentras are faster then I thought. I caught her at around 70. So this time I did the counting. 1.....2.....3..G0!!!!!! she pulled me a little in the start, she actually thought she had me until I hit second and then it got nasty, I rolled down my window and acted like had a paddle and started to row bye her haha SHE GOT SMOKED! As you know cause I smoked her little 4 cylinder I didn't get any loving. But now she always wins now
