Talking race

Na, its a super cab. Now the motor has some miles on it so it seems to be a little faster. The 4x4 does slow it down a little but if i was at a rolling start say around 20 or 30 mph it halls as_.It keeps up pretty good with my buddies sang, only when we are rolling and he punches it I can hang with him. I Did a few thing to it this year, I hope to get back to the track when I get back home. I raced a 99 ram a few weeks ago on the hwy. lol he didn't stand a chance. I could pull away from him so easy, untill i hit the 105mph cut off. He was pised that his little red ram couldn't keep up with the silver bullit.Maybe next time I could bring my semi to the track and make a few runs. I could probably beat that girls ram still.

Speaking of semi', I raced a flatbed log truck down highway 58 in Virginia. We were both doing about 75mph. The smarta$$ was behind me the whole time.( he was right on my bumper.) But everytime he tried to pass me, I threw it down to 4th gear and floored it. He was soooo pissed off because he could'nt pass me.

Talking semi

when your heavy and coming down hills you just let her go. I mostly leave my jake break off and just leave it in 10th or some guys use N lol. all depends on the hill. Ya sometime people don't understand that when your truck comes in at 80,000 lbs it kind of hard to ride the breaks all day. I always love comming down in virgina or w virgina always making good time trought there lol. or pa. make up time going down the hills. I cant wait till I get back into my F-150 and lay the hammer down

Not an F150, but last week in the wifes' Focus I smoked an Escalade.

Jerk gives me attitude that his 300 HYP gangsta/rapper/pimp truck can eat my 120 HP economy car for breakfast.

Do think so. The guy was so embarrased that he wouldnt pull up beside me at the next set of lights.

Last Night...

I went in my friends lightning after he got his superchip in and raced another guys Lightning that we know... We had him off the line until about 60mph or so and then he passed us... I really thought we might have got him.. By 140mph he was only a little ahead.... ONLY about 5 car lengths! I guess his 8lb pulley and a couple bolt on's really did help.. :P He runs about 11 second quarter miles though and my buddies only runs like 13.3 or so. So there is a big difference.

On the other hand... I drive a Ford F-150 5.4L 4x4 flareside regular cab shortbed. There was this annoying Honda beside me last night on my way home and he kept reving his engine.. So I decided to take him for the fun of it. I actually beat him by about half a car length. He was pretty upset afterwards when I told him the only mods I had was an air intake and exhaust. I dont know what I run in the quarter but I bet its dang slow! My trucks weight is around 5600lbs. So that should give you an idea. Hopefully a SuperChip and some other mods should help.

Oh yea...

I forgot.. I have the Race of that Lightning with the 8lb pulley on video. I recorded it lastnight. However the battery died right as he was pulling on us and passing so you dont get to see how much he smoked us by.

I especially like the story (page 1) about getting busted for not having license, insurance......Makes me wonder why? Why brag about being stupid?

Because I was sooo excited about getting my nitrous bottle filled I forgot to grab my liscence back from 3d performance.

I'm not braging about being stupid... I just thought it was funny I had to deal with two cops that morning.

Like I said... I've got too many stories to elaborate on.

4x4pwr, I talk to a lot of the Lightning owners on this board. Are either one of them on this board?

Last night I was coming up on 2 cars at a light, one was in the right hand lane (older camaro), and the other was turning left (Infinity, don't know what type). I could tell the guy in the infinity was looking for people to race because when he saw the camaro sitting next to him he pulled out of the turn lane and went straight. I was behind the 2 watching them, the infinity was speeding up and slowing down trying to get the camaro to give him a run. But the Camaro didn't want any and he turned right at the next light. So I pulled up next to the Infinity going at about 45. I pulled ahead of him a little watching him in my mirror, then he guned it and started pulling bye me. I let him have it and by the time we hit about 80 I was a good 3 truck lengths on him. We came up on some entersections so I slowed up and let him catch me. The next straight away he tried again, and again I pulled on him to about 3 truck lengths. Then we hit a series of big turns and I slowed way down and let him go by. He pulled the fly by and hit the turns at pretty high speeds. I knew this would be the only place he could beat me since I have a truck, and let him go. I was behind him at the next light but he saw that I was going straight and he went left. Only mods I could tell he had was exhaust. I'm not sure what type of Infinity it was either but I know it was a newer model.

Talking

raced a mustang yesterday on michigan ave. It was a 99 0r 00 gt conv. At the light he pulled away untill he shifted into 2nd I pull about a 1foot ahead, then the went to 3rd and he was next to my door. The only reason I beat he was becouse he couldn't shift (older guy) my mom was supprised that I beat him. We took It up to about 70 and called it a good day.

Today is the day I get the semi back

Beat a Dodge V8

I know it not a great kill or anything(beating an overweight Dodge Ram)....but it was fun.

I was cruising on the Atlantic City Expressway after a day at the beach, and I'm in the left lane passing some cars....this dodge is in front of me and won't move to the right to let me pass....so, I moved to the right. Well when I did this he sped up ( I love it when they do that!!!). I floored it...I was going 70MPH at the time and the next time I checked it was 105mph(it wasn't instantly)...the dodge was long gone and I quickly hit the brakes (lots of cops on the AC Xway on the weekends)...best part about it...I got a "GOOD JOB" from my girlfriend!!

ctbsxc, you sure the guy in the GT was trying? He was probably laughing at you because he knew you thought you beat him.

XLT-sport, how do you know you were going 105? Does your speedometer go over 100? I think that is about what mine goes. That's after I put in the chip of course. I think these things are goverend at about 97. Rev-limiters suck! That's another good thing about the chip, it lifts the rev-limiter.
