HAHA good one Fastga! Hey list your mods. (if any) and year, auto./5speed, etc. Thanks. Yeah I raced my buddies stock '98 153hp twin-cam 4 banger Altima before I got most of my mods and we were about dead even racing to 80. Now I can blow him away at the higher speeds because of my chip, but he can still beat me off the line. The automatic 4.2's can't beat anything off the line! Maybe other trucks, but it seems like every car I race gets me off the line, then I blow bye them at the higher speeds.

1/8 mile racing at Red Line Raceway

Last night a friend and I went to Red Line Raceway near Greenville, Tx. I didn't race my truck this time, as I'm waiting for some more mods, but we did see alot of awsome cars. Unfortunately we didn't see any L's, and I was hoping to, but we did see some nice mustangs, and alot of really cool 6 second cars. The fastest was this half street rod half dragster custom car. It was unlike anything I've seen. He ran a 6.10 at a little over 120 mph. I had a great night and loved watching the cars and trucks that people had built and tweaked. The last time I went they had just opened, so this time there were 3 times as many cars and fans. It was lots of fun, but next time I go I want to see some L's!

Raced a Chevy 350

Raced one of my buddies in his Std cab stepside 1990 Chevy 350. He has a pretty good list of mods too, a set of headers, flowmaster exhaust, no cats<<hehe, electric fans, and couple of little things. Well to the race.....Well the first time we raced it was from about 30mph, I hung (I pulled a little bit on him) all the way up to the rev limiter. I was pretty suprised. The second race was from a standing start, we both hit it at the same time and he started pulling me just a tad but once I hit about 4 grand I started catching him, hit second and we were died even, at about 70 my front window was at his front bumper untill I hit my rev limiter, and he keep going oh well time for a superchip! Well that's my race story.

Well, I raced what I thought was a GT mustang; mid 90's. Was a 5-spd, and it was a true show vehicle; it had the paint job, altezza lights, rims, the whole 9 yards. Hell, he even had little fish tanks in his back seat. I kinda glanced over at his car and I thought I saw a GT symbol. So I was like, ok.... let's see where I stand. Took off from the light, and it was no contest. I pulled hard on him from the light on. By the time I hit 60, I had him by a good 3-4 lengths. When he pulled beside me at the next light, I looked over to see that his fender badges were the $5.00 GT R! badges you can buy at autozone. It was just a V-6.

Next was a mid 90's 6-cyl Firebird 5-spd. He was gunning it from every light, and weaving a lot so I thought I'd have some fun with this clown. I finally got next to him at a light, and we both left the light cool until we got to the other side of the intersection. He dropped it back into first and punched it. I was like "Hell no!" and I didn't let him get past my fender. I gunned it and took it up to 5 grand before the chip let the tranny shift. Nice little chirp from the tires in the 1-2 upshift, and it was all over. He tried to pull on me, but gave up when I had 2 lengths on him at around 50-55.

Last was actually someone I knew, although I didn't know it at the time. Some a$$hole was weaving and cutting people off behind me and would gun it every time he got beside me. It was a Mazda Protige` or however you spell it. Anyways, it was a little 5-door wagon, 5-spd. Bone stock. I kinda felt sorry for the guy... his girlfriend was in the car. I wasn't really in the mood to race, but this guy needed to be taught a lesson. He gets up beside me while we're going about 40, and rolls his fingers asking if I want to race for money. I shook my head no and didn't just walk away from him, I damn near sprinted! He didn't weave any more that I know of, and he wouldn't bother getting up next to me.

Those are my most recent ones

On the way home from work my girlfriend and got lined up at a light. For some reason she reved her engine I looked at her with the WTF look and she just smiled. So I thought to myself hmmm how often do you get a hot chick that wants to race. Anyways she has a PONTIAC Grandam 2.4 or whatever 5spd. We were both watching the other light to see when it was going to turn yellow then red and then our light turns green. She jumps the gun and trys to leave me. So having the 5spd also and lots more Horsepower I punch it. The damn tires break loose and I spin through the intersection and damn if she is not 2 truck lengths in front of me. When I finally get traction the truck lurches forward and then at 35 it is time to shift into 2. This is where I catch her and we are running side by side. At about 55-60 I shift into 3 third and I am about 4 truck lengths in front of her. When I finally hit 90 just to prove a point I let off.....She has not tried to race again...lol
