Sorry wrong engine...what an amature I am - 1999 F150 XLT 2WD 5.4L with 198,000 origional owner miles

Currently (thanks to you all) looking at doing my front ball joints. I've got excessive wear on the front right inner tire.

I try to do everything myself. This forum has made this possible for me and I thank you.

Gone bad:

Interminent driver side window issue that went away around 2003 (usually occured after a rain)

HVAC temp control **** started going 2002 Although I can still get it to work it takes a little finessing.

Battery Cable down by the starter in...2002
New Tie Rod Ends in 2002 @ 110K
AC bearing went in 2006
A few Coil on plugs 2005
Odometer readout issue started around 2003 (think I read a post hear about someone that fixed theirs.)
Yep, crack on the Door Otr. @ belt line.

Muffler minimal patch last year and your standard maintenace type items.

Currently have the check engine light and ABS light on. The CEL is for a "insuffient flow" code.
I'm assuming the ABS light is for a bad sensor. Both of these I need to fix but haven't made them a priority. (The CEL will go back off during long trips.)

Guess that's it...

These are ford trucks... Our old work truck (93 F250 xcab long bed diesel) has 270K miles on original tranny and engine. Through some rigging was done to the glo plugs, and then theres the slight shaking ... its all original! Proper maintenance

I bought mine new Sept. 2000.

Somewhere in South Dakota in 2004.

It currently has 148,something with nothing major yet. It has a 5.4L V8. I'll be the first to admit I haven't taken the best care of it. Shes been rode hard and put up wet many times. Most are highway miles, but it has its fair share of 4wd roads and mud holes too. I normally change the oil every 5000 miles.

With the price of gas and a change in my work and lifestyle I don't drive it as much as I would like anymore. The rest of the truck will probably rust out before the engine dies at the rate it is going.

'99 4X4 with 120k

Bought new March '99.....other than two freeze plugs seeping (hope the Bar's Leaks fixes it), it's been very reliable. Original plugs, still starts right up. Original battery, too.

97 4.6 Reg cab - farm truck.. It just turned past 400000 Km - around 250000 miles. I have replaced the TPS and have to do it again soon. No other problems.. and I'm still on the original wires. Dirt roads = Rust.

Crankshaft oil seal needs replacing, got me a leak there and a minor leak from valve cover. Need to replace both upper ball joints, flush the coolant, change the brake fluid.
Other than that, I put 500 miles on it every week. !! Still runs and looks good for its age and current mileage. Contemplating selling it, but doubt will get any takers.

1997 F150XL V6 4.2L 256CID (5 SPD Manual) - 140,000 miles.
Original clutch, no leaks or current issues. No major issues with this truck through its life other than standard recall work. It has had a construction barrel slung at it, a deer that may have made it (not sure) and countless small furry animals that dare to venture across the roadway. Front brakes and wheel bearing changed once. Rear are still original, but need replacing. Built FORD tough!

I have 280,000 miles on a '97 scab 4.2 v6 stick. I've changed the plugs twice and the oil about every 10,000. Until the rear main seal started leaking a little, it never used a quart of oil in a 10,000 oil change. Original O2 sensors, get about 20-22mpg with a 3.08 rear end out of an automatic.
