Trade In value of my truck

So I went to the dealer today to price and build a 2013 FX4 which he gave me a price of 51300. But only offered me 17k for my 09 FX4. It does have some miles 82,800 and all the maintenance is done at that dealer. NADA list my truck as 21k in rough trade in shape. So when he came back at 17k I was like man that isnt even close. So what do you all think. I will be returning every thing to stock with the exception of the exhaust.

Have you thought of trying to sell it as a private party instead of a trade in?

Yeah after they offered me 17k I certainly did lol. Now I dont know if I really want that 2013 or not. I have always wanted to order a truck exactly as I wanted it now not so sure. Im having my step dad check to see what the dealership he works for comes up with for a price. I just cant believe how far off the dealer is from the rough NADA price.

trade in

My father in law just traded in a 06 supercab 4x4 chrome package with 68000 miles on it and got $14500. so i would think yours would be worth more than 17000

yeah thats what I though too but they say the mileage is a hard sell but the NADA price takes 2300 off for the 83k. I think Ill have to do some shopping around. I normally use that dealer as they are with in 3 miles of my house.

Not sure how you got the price for your truck as it only shows me price for a 2012 f150. didnt see anywhere to get value of my truck.

I'm not happy with that site either. The link to Black Book values from another
site,NewCars.com is down, says reload or try later. Weird thing is the original
site was one of those at the top of this forums title page. Like an advertisement.

www.intelliprice.com
Click on Trade In value. Exactly the same as the black book site and the same trade in values. One of the other sites that mentioned Black Book values links to this site.
I had to go thru the same steps as Black Book and got the exact same results.

yeah that one worked came up with the same as the dealer offered so now the question is why is the NADA so much higher then this dealer run intelliprice. The reason I say dealer run as its the one ford has you use when you do a build your own truck.
