think of a circle w/ radius diameter 10. your radius is 5. now think of a larger circle diameter 12, the radius is 6. the radius only increased 1 while the diameter increased 2.

does that make any sense?

I think I want to get the nitto mud grapplers instead. I honestly dont care about the noise. And Im reading reviews that are saying ppl are getting 30k + miles on them...any advice?

oh and will they fit on my truck if I get a 6" lift and the 2" bilstien shocks for the front? will they rub?

you might get 30k+ miles if you run them down to slicks. if you want 35's it'd be wise to go for the 2" extra of lift depending on your wheel choice.

what do you mean by that last part? I plan on putting them on my stock wheels first(17x9 i think) or just getting 17x9 aftermarket wheels with some offset to get 2-3 inches to stick out

the farther the wheel/tire combo stick out generally it means more rubbing possibility.

if you are on stock wheels with 6" of lift then you should be fine. verify the lift kit you get will fit stock wheels. if you get aftermarket wheels the lift manufacturers specs are a good guide line on wheel specs. tire selection also plays into rubbing. for example a Mud terrain will have deeper side lugs than an all terrain so chances of rubbing on something increase.

oh, i figured that the farther the tires stuck out the less they would rub because they would be farther from the wheel well.

The stock 17's are 7.5" wide. I had 12.5" wide tires mounted on them for a while and got some weird tire wear.

UPDATE.

So I was planning on putting aside a couple hundred every month...but in the past 2 weeks ive put aside $700 lol. Im pretty sure Im going to get the fabtech kit. then gunna get these wheels at -12 offset and wrap them with 35x12.5x17 nitto trail grapplers.

If i can sell this sound system i will be at $1000. then I should be getting about $1000 as a downpayment from selling my stang.

ill keep you guys updated

Just went up to discount tire. He said he would sell me the tires and wheels for $1500. and it turns out I cant get them untill I pay them off all the way :/
