Ok. You guys must know a lot more about this sh*t than I do, then. Be sure to save up for a magic tuner then too, OP. I'm not worthy

Why don't you enlighten us ingorant ones on how the 20 extra HP from your custom tune improved your bottom end enough to brag about?

where did i say it was enough to brag about, i said it put you ROUGHLY back to stock. how you took it so far out of context is beyond me. did it help with the bogging, yes. did it bring it back to stock power at 800 rpm, NO, but it DID help.

edit: and you are spouting off ****, when pretty sure your crap is not lifted yet and you had to ask how to cut off a piece of your subframe.... it's called a grinder and cut off wheel.

well see when you lift your truck and only go up an inch in tire size then yes it will help your bottom end, not only that but mods like exhaust intakes and shiftkits Which I happen to have, also work great in conjunction with a custom tune, anymore questions?

to the OP, sorry for hijacking your thread. i hate when people spout things off and make it sound like a must when you lift your truck. make your own decision once it's lifted and you have tires on. a tune will help a lot for power. since your 2wd it will be cheaper to gear, but you can adjust your gear ratio with a tuner if later on you decide you want gears. you might decide you don't even want a tune either. make your own mind up on mods after your truck is lifted and don't listed to us dumbasses arguing like tards on the internet

No.. Say it isn't so. Thanks for chiming in on that thread BTW And now my rig is crap? I see who I am dealing with, now.

Now you are talking sh*t. Just because I have never had to cut a subframe to install a lift doesn't mean I don't know about running bigger tires and how gear ratios work or never had a lifted rig before. I really could give two squirts less whether anyone believes me or not.

I'm not sure if all kits do it, but I know the Fabtech lift kits widen the front stance a hair which will make your front tires stick out a little bit more than the rear. To kick the tires out, most of the time it is done with new wheels and backspacing/offset coupled with wider tires. Some people use wheel adapters/spacers to push them out, but isn't really recommended. If you use the backspacing on wheels to push them out it shouldn't have any negative effect on your truck. I can't say the same for wheel adapters/spacers. They might be alright, but I personally would be hesitant to put them on my truck.

What is the timeline you are guesstimating for having enough scratch to buy the stuff?

About 6 months untill i can order the lift and bilstiens....Assuming I dont have any unexpected breakdowns or emergencies.

I have a quote for $200(parts and labor) for the ball joints, about $330 for the bilstein 5100's to level my front end out, im guessing i can find a decent 6" lift for around $1200 (crossing fingers), then how much is labor?(500?) and i could get nitto terra grapplers for $800. soooo about $2500 Right now im putting about $100-200 aside each month, but Im about to sell my mustang to my sister so I will get about $6500 for that....only problem is she cant afford it right now so she wasnts to pay it to me by incriments of $200 a month....
In the summer I can get more work hours and put more towards my fund. So unless I can get her to take out a loan for $2500, Im going to be saving for at least 6 months.
I want to spend as little as possible because the rest of the money from selling my stang will go towards paying my truck off

Oh and Im trying to sell my sound system from my mustang for about $350 so if that sells I will be that much closer to getting my lift
Sorry guys for thinking outloud hah.
