yeah, im a delivery driver for papa johns in the process of becoming a shift manager. I make more money as a driver but once i get a lift i dont want to use it for delivering.

The 7.5" lift is only for the 97-03 style trucks. For our 04-08 style Fabtech has a 0-3" adjustable and a 6" lift available for the 2wds.

Fabtech 04-08 2wd.

Everyone else has answered all your questions about lifts but I noticed you said you wanted your tires to stick out for a wider stance. I reccommend some 20x12 wheels since you will be running 35s. If you look in my pics I should still have some photos of a similar stance that yours would be at.

to get my tires to stick out and give me a mean stance do I just buy wider tires or do I have to get wheels that will push them out further also?

To do it right, you need wider wheels with the appropriate offset. The small the backspacing or the more negative the offset, the further outboard the wheel will sit.

so i just went and measured my tires and they are only 29" so if I got a 6" lift and 35" tires, I would get 12" total. Then I took the measure and put it up to the bottom of my truck to see how much higher 1 foot would be and I still wasnt satisfied lol

nah man you wouldnt get 12 inches of total lift, you will get 6 from the lift kit and 3 from the tires since with each inch of tire added, only a half inch of it is lift

yep. 1/2" for every inch added.

and the only kit bigger than 6" that i know of is CST 7" kit, then there are the full throttle/bulletproof lifts that are 12" + but i wouldn't waste my money on them if it was me. CST isn't cheap, only one member on here i can think of actually has their lift. username is budd something.

as for getting more height you can add a leveling kit or bilstein adjustables, and an AAL or larger block in the rear to get 8" of height. 35's will still look fine since your 2wd. if you go with CST 7" kit and go to 9-9 1/2" you can probably squeeze a narrow 37.

why do I only get 1/2 of the tires size?

and I dont want to go anything higher than 35's so I guess ill stick with a 6"

it just bothers me because sometimes when I look at guys trucks that they claim have 6" lifts, they look so small...but then I see another truck that is said to havea 6" lift and it looks huge...

yeah, i took a tape measure to my truck this moring and realized how small 6" is... :/ and I dont plan on regearing right away. maybe in a year if I keep a steady income. After I get the lift, ball joints, shocks, and other maintanence I plan on getting a tuner to get some mpg back and i suppose if i have any money left i can save up to regear.

I like the look of buxtons truck. Its only 2wd and 6.5" lift (and maybe a 3" body kit) and i think he has 35's. But it looks pretty beefy I really want my tires to stick out, i think it makes it look taller.
