Lifting my truck a couple of inches

I am thinking later this year, when I get new tires for my truck, I am going to lift my truck up a few inches. Now, I don't want a 6 inch lift. I do however want it a few inches taller then stock and fit a bigger tire on it. Would this lift kit here be a better way to go rather than a 2.5 leveling kit and add a leaf? The 3 inches that is advertised is what I would want.

Here is a pic of my truck. Plain XL is all it is.

I think that lift it fine if your just wanting to add a few inches and put some bigger tires on it it should be fine you can probably put 35s on it with out a problem, or you can go witha level kit and add a leafs which is a whole lot cheeper ither way you will get some lift

that link you posted is basically a leveling kit, just with new struts , similar to the Bilsteins.

Unless you need or want new struts, you can get the same effect outta an autospring spacer for $70 off ebay, then add an AAL or bigger block in the rear if you want the rake

Most people agree that 3 inches is goo much lift without dropdown brackets because they make the ball joint angles (and CV joints on 4x4's) too severe.

I didn't see it when I looked on their page. Do you got a part # for it. I wish I had the cash for it right now.

How about a three inch body lift for my truck. Being a XL does that make a difference? Its a 2wd just for reference.

I found this one by searching and on summit's results it shows a long bed truck can do the 3 inch but no option for the 5 inch. I want the 3 inch anyway. How harsh does the ride get with a body lift? What else would I need besides the kit?

A body lift should not change ride quality at all. You are doing nothing to the suspension. If you buy a good set, they come with everything you need.

PA is well known for their body lifts and no problems what so ever. Ive had mine on for like 3 years. Doesnt change the ride at all. Just be sure to pick up a set of gap guards as well

I found your install thread when searching. Thats where I started to search for a PA. How long did it take you to put yours on?
