You'd have to custom mount them, and probably get them revalved depending what they were on before. Not sure on the height issue though.

While i was reading through the thread i was trying to get a general idea as to which 6" in lift (fabtech or BDS) for a 2002 supercrew was considered better. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

best ride is all relative to the driver.

If you are strictly street, just go with a replacement shock (sure yours are worn out) and a 2 or 2 1/2" spacer.

the bilstein's ride awesome offroad, and firmer on the street. I personally like that ride but others might not.

For tires, there are mutliple sizes that are 33" tall, widths will vary. plug in the tire sizes and it will tell you the equivalent.

Nitto grapplers? nitto makes a trail, mud, and terra grappler. need to be more specific.

For an AT, i'd either go with BFG AT's or the terra grappler.

I am looking into lifting my 07 F150. Any opinion on the Superlift 4.5" F.I.T. System with Superide Shocks by Superlift?
I watched a Youtube video on it and looks good...I havent spoke with the guys at 4WheelParts yet bout it...Any feedback would be great! Thanks

This is an awesome informational thread... But just to be clear I should be able to use the following on my 2004 F-150 5.4L 4x4 XLT...

1. Rancho 4" lift
2. 35x12.50x17 tires
3. 17x8.5 wheels w/4.75" backspacing
4. 4.56 gearing (matching front & rear)

I ended up getting a 2006 crew cab lariat 4x4 to replace my old truck. To start, I'd like to level it off and put bigger tires on (more than likely will go with 33's, but haven't decided for sure) the stock 20" rims. I haven't seen much opinion as far as brand is concerned on this thread. Great write up btw!

However, I'd like to hear the preferences for leveling kits. I'm new to the 04+ world and there are so many options for leveling kits, it's rather frustrating. I saw an opinion on this page above for the bilsteins. What are other's opinions?

Imo bilsteins are the best if it fits your budget and if you don't mind a slight stiffer, more offroad feel to the ride. Ranchos are hit or miss, people have said they don't give you the actually amount of lift they state. Then for leveling kits, you can't go wrong with the autospring, its one of the cheapest, good quality, and plenty of positive reviews on it.

I've got an 06 xlt 4x4 extended cab 8' bed. I have the BDS 8" lift kit and haven't installed it yet. Planning to this next weekend. I know all the gearing stuff but does anybody know if I'll have to lengthin the drive shaft? And if so, how to go about doing it. I also have 38" toyo m/t tires going on it. Any info on what I'll run into on that?
