Get a 2" level and throw some 33s on it. If you do a lot of highway/city driving get an AT like BFG AT KOs or Nitto Terra Grapplers for longevity

The metric tire sizing is based on width (in mm)/sidewall ratio/wheel size so a 285/70/18 would be a 33.7" tire with 7.85" of sidewall that is 11.2" wide

I hope I'm posting this in the right area, I have never posted or asked a question before. Most all the lift questions with stock width rims have been answered. My question is, I have a 2010 xlt 4x4 with a 2.5 level kit. I just purchased new rims that are 17x9 with a 4.5 bs. Will 285's fit on my truck or do i need to go to a 265. Any help would be appreciated.

If it's not included with the lift pretty good chance you won't. If you feel driveline vibration after installing however, then it may be needed.

Nooobeee

Hey everyone. First post, I just bought a 2004 supercab Fx4 a few months ago. I was thinkning of a lift of some kind, i have only known about suspension lifts and body lifts, but dont know much about how it all goes together. After looking around i noticed there were leveling kits out there to.

Im thinking about going with a performance accessories PLS 5" kit. Anybody have any complaints or compliments on this product or the brand? dont know anything about them.

If not that i was going to do a 2"-3" body lift and a skyjacker 3" lift, which is struts and a rear add a leaf.

Can anyone give me some other alternatives? Or review on these companies products and how good they last. I have a low budget so looking for a dollar friendly lift Just wondering if this is a "get what you pay for" situation to.

If your not doing the install yourself, body lift labor isn't budget friendly. If you do decide to go body lift, don't get a 2" they usually don't include the bumper brackets and it won't look good. And I'm too familiar with the sjyjacker lift, but if it's a form of a leveling kit whether it be spacer or leveling strut 3" is too much, general consensus is 2.5" is the max for 04-08's when it comes to leveling.
