I got it all put together. I had a lightning donor vehicle, minus the wiring harness. I used the NA one from my truck. The IAT is that the sensor next to the air filter?. I heard there was a second one by the intercooler somewhere. Where is yours connected? Your video seems to point by the air intake. Vacuum lines a little confusing as tried to retain stock lightning setup with my auto 4x4 also. I have a back sensor with no power to it.
What do you recommend?

I reached out to JJ for a tune for my truck. I used TR6 plugs gapped at .035.
My motor otherwise is totally stock right down to the exhaust. I added a 255 lph in tank pump.

Thanks for this complete writeup and support.

the sensor next to the air filter is the MAF. our stock NA harness only has one IAT. it depends what year lower intake you have on the lower intake as to which side its on the lightning intake. the 99-00 intakes have the IAT on the drivers side and the 01-03 intakes have them on the passenger side like mine.

i have changed my vacuum line routing since that video. im running without a EGR so yours would be different anyway if you are using the EGR.

that back sensor is probably the barometer. is it thin and have a hole in the bottom of it? we dont use that with our PCM's.

you should open that exhaust up!

There are two IAT's on L/HD vehicles. N/A only have one. If you use N/A ECM you have to pick one of the two. Your tuner needs to know which one to tune too, he can also recommend which one is best for your driving. Second one for L/HD measure air temperature after intercooler. JJ tuned mine!

Which one did you tune to. I would think the intercooler would be more accurate setup.

I'm only running one. So I'm using the one after the intercooler.

If you do nothing the NA computer uses the orginal one. That is how mine is hooked up. Again there are pros and cons to each, this is why you should consult your tuner and discuss.

One of my banks is running different than the other. . I have a little roughness in the idle.
I put all new tr-6 plugs gapped at .035
my complete truck is stock.
I checked my coil and injector connections and all my plugs are tight.
I used the stock f 150 engine harness and also used the coils off my truck.
I used the injectors off the lightning motor which ran great before I took it apart.
Can you think of what else could be causing this?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks
Rus

that exact problem happened to me when i first started it up. i told jj and he told me to go back and double check my injectors and COP connections and all the other sensors. I unplugged them and plugged them back in and it fixed my problem.

Are you getting any codes? Assuming you plug and unplug and no changes, two comments. First Tr6 plugs are a little cold for stock boostlevels and idle sometimes is symptom. Second if one bank os the problem (again what indecation do you have) it code be a weak O2 sensor. When replacing 0O2 sensors, try to use Motorcraft. Even though Bosch makes them, something is different than Bosch replacement onesm. OBTW fronts would be the culprits.

i was told O2 sensors also, but i find it VERY hard to believe a sensor would go bad while the truck is sitting and swapping a SC onto it. assuming the truck ran fine before the swap.

im running tr6 plus with 8psi too.
