So I plan on going to the track this friday...

This will be in Baytown, TX.. Looking at isolated storms in the morning. So I would imagine it will be humid and in the mid 90's.

M/T Radials 295/45/17's wont be here in time unfortunately. So Ill be rockin what I always rock...

Predictions on time?

I'm thinkin 14.1 at 100mph...

Really what It will all come down to is how well I hook.

FF, what was your times with the vortech??? I think you'll be close on the ET if you can hook but your 60ft and 1/8 miles will be better

I'm gonna say a 13.8 or 13.9

I just bet the BEAST could run a 13.8 in your truck.

Have fun. Don't break.

Never ran it with the vortech...but those few times I took it to the track with bolt ons...and no slips were posted... I was running low 14's with 2.1 60's in the dead heat of summer at Temple Academy Raceway, a river runs RIGHT by it, so it was always 100% humidity nearly, and at 511' above sea level.

4.10 gears
Diablo Predator
underdrive pulleys
Magnaflow cat back
Electric fans

Baytown is a much better track, and only 38' above sea level. The humidity and Texas August heat is what will kill me.

If you truck dont run in the 13's I would be shocked, and if I were you I would be pissed.

If it had a Roush blower boosting 8lbs tuned by Mike Troyer I bet it would hit 13's.

Wow some hostility huh? Easy!

In arizona Ive seen a few lightnings run 13.1-13.3 at 100-101 MPH at firebird which is 1000ft elevation and in arizona we dont have humidity really in the winter (when I saw the trucks run).

I every bit expect my truck to be in the 13's this friday. I would be willing to almost bet money that Ill be in the 12's with those Mickey Thompsons with some decent weather.

Matt ran his 13.6 with his truck, granted it was a 32degrees outside. He has less power, torque, 3.73 gears, and easily weighs 800lbs more.

No reason at all your truck cant hit 12s. I think 12s is very doable in my truck with some D/R tires and more power. I weigh more then you do but 450RWHP with traction should still get me there. I bet on your truck you should hit 12.8-12.6.

I dont really care what anyone runs unless they use drag radials. All these guys in 13s are nice, but my truck with stock whipple everything would have been 13s had I been able to hook up and get a 1.9-2.0 60 foot.

Yeah when he get 2.2-2.3 60's you are really hurting your times. That is excessive spinning.

Heck I get that just rolling into the throttle, you dont want to see what it does when I stall it a little.

You should be in the 13's easy with your truck, I am at 14.07 @97mph and weight in at 5800lbs with me in the truck and a little more than 1/2 tank of gas.

Let me see if I can swing going out there Friday I am ready to hit the track again.

I just hope the rain stays away. If there is any chance friday afternoon I won't go. It's to long of a drive to just drive back because of rain.

I might start cleaning my truck tonight and just drive the Tahoe the rest of the week so it doesn't look like complete crap. I'll bring my HD camera and tripod and hopefully the track will let me set it up so I can get some good shots. I have a slight friendly grudge match with a few co-workers. One of them has a G8 and ran a 13.8 stock, but now has a cold air and tune. The other is a scooby doing 330awhp spraying water/meth.

I told them they had to beat my truck before I'll even bother racing them in my viper. LMAO..
