4.6 Engine swap advise

I have a 2001 F150 with a 4.6 2V Romeo motor that is locked up due to loss of oil pressure

im looking at a 4.6 Romeo that came out of a 2003 E150 van

are there any significant issues?
I can take all the accessories and brackets from the old motor, but wanted to see if anyone knows of any big issues

when I look over the used motor is there any red flags to look out for
i was going to pull the plugs and accessory belt and see if it turns over manually
also check for any physical damage or oil leaks

thanks

I don't think there are any significant issues. The 2003 is a PI (performance improved) engine, the 2001 may or may not be. Difference is heads, pistons, and manifolds.

I just mentioned that for compatibility purposes. I think most, but not all, 2001 4.6's were PI. There is a horsepower and torque difference. At least you are replacing a Romeo with a Romeo.
