Bought it because it had a 87 thunderbird turbo coupe engine in it that I wanted for my 32 ford. Bought it for $800, took the engine and trans out, kept the drag wheels it came with and sold it for $750

engine in the pinto

in the 32

Just got another one of my wacky great ideas. I want the rear to be stiffer, dont want to go higher just stiffer. I was thinking of an add a leaf but hard to find one that only adds about an inch but stiffens it significantly since most that low of lift are the long leafs. So why not just add another leaf from the stock leafs. Shouldn't lift me too much but should stiffen it a bit. Not sure how much stiffer or higher though. Anyways off to find some stock leafs on craigslist.

What rear shocks you running or you can also take measurements of your shocks fully extended and collapsed and go to the parts store and get the coilover shock book and find one with the same measurements

Ground force 70064, they are air shocks, they lift the truck about an inch if needed but dont do much for stiffness. and I had some QA1 coilovers on there before and worked out well, but just don't want to go that route again.

you could just put some really rusty shocks on it to stiffen it up

You'd be surprised what a quality shock will do for stiffness, my truck with new shocks in the front rides smoother, and less choppy. A good shock controls compression (jounce) stroke and rebound

Yeah the new shock I put on the rear really helped. I do think its about time for fronts I think they have about 80k on them, rears have about maybe 10k

I recently did front shocks when i did my front rebuild, and it made the whole truck feel different, not just the rear.....
