Ok, so I got all the metal I need. Got the 6" pipe, like I said before and just picked up a 2"x3"x.25" 4 foot stick. Going to put a 2 foot section on top of the frame rails.

The plan is, tomorrow go to my parents house where they have a lift (4 post but better than nothing) and first off replace my cats, these maggies dont last long....install the wideband, then pull the bed off and start cutting. As long as discount tire doesn't screw me over I should be getting my rear tires mounted tonight, then if that works out ill put the shackles i have on and test it out to see if i can go 8" if not 7" will do

if you are at 4.5 in front then 8 in the back should be level. I am at 8 now but looking to go 9 to be level.

yeah im pretty sure 8 will be level, its just tire/axle clearance im worried about, im done with tires rubbing and banging my axle on my frame, so if it rubs a lot or bottoms out at 8 ill set it at 7. then return to my quest to find a combination of leafs and other parts to get me to 8"

the front rids nice at 4.5 no bad rubbing, only on huge bumps, if i go over a speed bump with just 1 tire my front cross member drags, other than that im very happy with the front. well except for it have a 1 mile turning radius....still have to figure out what is not letting it turn

well finally got my moneys worth at discount tire, as they pulled it onto the lift the frame dragged on the lift cutting a hose hahahaha

anyways got the tires mounted, got a new torch hose, got some new cut off wheel and flapper disks, and filled up the tanks. ready for the notch tomorrow! almost forgot, also have my bowling team coming over to help lift the bed off, our team name is "the low lifes" being that we all drive lowered vehicles

hmmm thought i had taken more pics than i did...oh well, ill try to get some pics later today

first welded these bars to the frame

my dad helping, my mom and gf hanging out with us (we are 2 lucky guys, they sat there for the full 12 hours, except for when i ran out of welding wire, they wen out and got me more)

the inside i didnt weld fully, also you see the marks for the torch, measure 20 times cut once

torched out

pipe used for notch

then i guess i stopped taking pics...but painted the frame rails with some undercoating stuff and got it all looking good
