That's what I told him awhile back. The transfer case can only tuck Unser there so much.

I know this isn't an option for Eric, but theorectically, would you be able to build your own chassis to support a lowered 4wd?

eric you should do some hardcore research and then just figure out a way to drop the bitch really low and do it for a school project

Don't go low with a 4x4, the lower you get the more problems you will have with handling and from what I remember the cv shafts up front will start hainging up if you get to extreme with the t bars.

easiest way would be doing a body drop on the front half of the truck, and just cut and move the frame up

yea that might help, and he'd get better gas mileage

but still there is only so much you can do with torsion bars.

speaking of body drops, i looked into doing it with fiddy before i found out how much of a PITA it will be, with the way the cab is setup. Might just do a custom frame later

shocks are not load bearing, so can't make you any lower.

either hangers, longer shackles, or 99-02 SVT leaf springs are your options

No, my point is that to lower a 4wd as low as I think he wants to go,it would
cost less to bage a 2wd then it would to have a 4wd cut up & what ever it would take to drop it on the ground. Baging a 2wd, I think would be around 5k to 6k.
Much less then cutting up a 4wd and having it be functional.
Yes, just lowering a 2wd 3" to 4" would not be near as that much.
