I forget. What is the deal, Eric? Why can't you just sell the damn thing and get a 2wd to mess up? lol

I'm kidding, but really, why are you stuck with this truck? What's stopping you from getting rid of it?

the 6k i still owe my parents for bestowing on me, since i had no choice on selecting my first vehicle, besides it was going to be a 1/2 ton ext cab.....
i have no money to put towards another one since im in school, i have no steady income, since i now get to work every other 8 weeks.
trust me guys, i dont want this truck anymore, i never even wanted it from the beginning.....im just "stuck with it"

but pat, i already have shackles

taylor, i dont get to work hotshot anymore now being in school, and all the work is during the week when im at school

thanks again everyone

nope, they're set to the lowest, so the bolt is in the top hole.

If you don't like the truck then use it as a basic to & from vehicle.
Take an oldmans advise, just drive the thing, save your $$, and then get what you want.
You'll never be happy with this truck, no matter what you do to it.

no joke man, this being my first vehicle i've learned a lot like any other knowledgeable person would. we all have to start out somewhere, and also not having a word and your parents just show up one day with a vehicle you've never seen before in your life and its all of a sudden yours, kinda sucks too. but its done me good, had it almost 2 years, 2 wrecks, and over 60k, i really havent had any problems, besides the spark plug blowout, and replaced some cop's.

JLP shackles have 3 useable holes, and should be about 6" longer then your factory shackles and should just about be touching the bottom of the bed.

any other 2" shackle should have one or two useable holes and should be about 4" longer then factory shackles

but i agree on the dont dump too much money thing, ive been preaching that to taylor last couple of weeks

and at this point, I wouldnt do anything that isnt reversible. Meaning dont do hangers that cant be riveted back on, no one will want to buy your 4wd with drop hangers on it... You can easily swap leafs/shackles back to stock tho.
