You will be able to get more payload with the more hanger drop you get.

You could run a 1" Lightning coil and a 3" eibach hanger, and you will still have near factory payload.

or 2" drop coils, and 3" eibach, which is what i ran for quite some time, looks good, but didnt like the rake.

what exactly do you mean by rake? and how low can you drop it without having to replace shocks? thanks.

rake like where the front is lower then the back, You should be able to run a 2/3 for a while without new shocks, but if you have any kind of mileage on your stock shocks, its time to replace them. When you do get new shocks get either the harley davidson, or lightning spec bilsteins. defiently worth the money.

hmm i see, id really like to get away from the 'rake' look.. so how far would i have to drop the rear to even it out if i go with a 2" drop spring in the front? im assuming somewhere around the 4 inch level? so if i would go with 2" front drop springs, 4" rear hanger and some bilsteins, that should give me the look/ride im going for and still be able to tow my little utility trailer/bike around without a problem?? if so, where can i get the best deals on the suspension components? thanks!

3" shackles are the longest you can get. not to mention the steep angle they'll put your springs at. from there you can use the belltech drop leafs, or the 4" drop from Belltech's shackle and hanger combo. anything more than that would have to be a flip kit.

You graduated Wyotech right, why don't you custom design and fab your own 4-link? I plan to do that, i'm just waiting to get another couple of mechanical engineering classes in so I can make it as cheap and light as posssible. I'm not trying to be a jerk or anything, I just can't see spending $1600 on the air bar.

If you of other guys plan going the prefab route I think this site is a few hundred cheaper,http://www.streetbeatcustoms.com/, well they were cheaper about 6 months ago, sorry.

Oh yeah all your guys' trucks are gorgeous, I'm jealous, mine's still in primer.

i thought about the custom 4 link, and i have the ability and tools to make it. still doesn't mean its going to come out right. i thought about it for a long time, but how much money is your time worth? that's really the only question it comes down to. spending 40+ hours designing, fabbing, finishing, and installing, or spending the 4 hours to install the airbar, in all the existing holes, and be on the road in teh same day, WITH a company that would stand behind the product?

I know what you're sayin, but it all comes down to $$$
