The place that installed my speakers made them from thin particle board type wood. Very easy to make. Just use the factory speakers as a template, attach the adapters to the truck, then screw in the 6.5's. Here are some pix. Had I known it would be that easy, I would have done it myself.

You mounted the speaker on top of the screws for the mounting bracket. Doesn't that defeat the purpose of the dynomat? Wouldn't the speaker vibrate against the screws and cause rattles and things? Or did you cover it somehow?

The MB's had a rubber gasket ring cusion type thing around the bottom surface. They ended up using flush mount screws, not the ones shown. So the rubber sealed the surface pretty good. No rattles.

By the way, those are some nice looking speakers. Is that dynomat covering the door, or do you just have black plastic?
