Exactly how limited is the budget? Are you only looking for bass?

Those aren't CVT's either, those are the bottom-line kickers, and CVT's won't fit in that box.

The listing does say it works for 04-08 supercrews though

Well, you could do what i did.

I got a factory box ( I assume there is a factory box for your truck) and just slapped it under my back seat.

Didn;t use the factory amp, and the sub had been replaced with a 8" kicker CVR.

i used a borrowed amp for a few weeks, then yesterday I went to the local audio shop looking for a R.F Prime R150-2 ($129.99) but they where out, so I ended up getting $30 off a Kicker ZX-300-1. (was $199.99, got it for $179.99+tax)

With the sub/box and install kit (I needed about 4 foot of power wire more then the kit had with the way i ran it) and then Amp all ran me.

Sub/box used from member here $100
Install kit + extra power wire and 8G butt connector $50.
Amp $182 and change.

Not the loudest ever, but it sounds nice, also look into getting a new HU (head unit) I got a good deal on a pioneer AVH P-3100DVD player my self.

And with the Kicker amp I left my self room to upgrade my 8" to a 12" later if I wanted to.

(wonder to self how much a 12" sub and box would be that fits under the driver rear seat)

Titan, did you buy that from fomoco466, and does it look just like this

That used to be mine, I sold it to fomoco when I upgraded to a 10"

no it came from 95sw21.

But yes, it looks almost the same, mine does not have that red/black wire input there, just a hole with a rubber grommet. my box looks deeper, and it has no spacer.

Well, if there is no spacer, then it's not a CVR. The 8" cvr needs 4.25" mounting depth and the factory box has only 3.5" depth, hence the 3/4" spacer ring. Now an 8" CVT needs only 3.375" so thats probably what you have, and they are a single voice coil, not a dual like the cvr's.
