Your not going to get crazy loud with a thin sub, they dont have enough movement. Id research and find a full size with a lower mounting depth. I know they are out there, but i dont have a screw so i havent researched it.
Ive heard nothing but great things about the SI bmII or whatever its called, supposed to be a great shallow.

so you think shallow sounds better than regular depth subs. i have 2 tens mounted in separate boxes that i think sound really good. id be surprised to hear that shallow subs sound better. You can confirm though. what kind of subs were you running before?

I "HIGHLY" doubt he is saying shallows are better than regular. I'm not sure anyone would say that. I however am sure he is saying out of the shallow subs available the Memphis sclass subs are probably the best or one of the top best.
For the record I have had the newer rockford and kickers 12's and the Memphis have blown both of them away.

oh ok that makes more sense. i can honestly say ive ben into stereos for a long time and have never heard of Memphis even being a big name. I really want to try them, though i did just replace my MTX subs with rockford fosgates less than 2 weeks ago. Guess i know what im getting next

WTF.....kicker is low end subs. Memphis is not a low end product. I would NEVER compare Memphis to kicker, not now a days. Maybe when Kicker was still in Stillwater OK when their stuff actually pounded and was good quility but not now.
