Cool! Thanks for posting up pictures of the sub. I was really pleased with how everything turned out. The gift boxes (the inside box) look fantastic and the paint on the basket turned out exceptionally well. The paint on the basket is Lexus metallic white off of an IS300.

 

Yesterday we had some fun during the power testing we do on the BM mkIII's before we ship them out. This particular driver didn't pass the QC test, so we decided to take a video of it while we poured as power on it as possible from the SAZ-1500D at 2 Ohms. You can hear how loud the BM mkIII is when you bottom it and also how much abuse it will take from a power perspective. With the amp clipped the little guy was seeing over 500 watts in free-air.

Disclaimer: I almost drop the driver right when it blows. It looks like I'm scared of the thing, haha.

One to start. I want to test the waters. If it works for me another will be ordered. Trying to get the z110, so the woofers arent priority. I have to pay taxes as of today, so, one thing at a time. going to the home depot to get some mdf to whip up a small enclosure. The suspense is killn me...

 

got my two in today, cannt wait to finish the box for them.

jjhd-i used birch ply for this box and so far its better than any mdf box i have ever made. much lighter and i feel a better overall product.

I just bought one sub as well. Will be interesting to see if I can get it installed under the wife's radar. I need to pick up some materials and build the box and run power and ground wire still.
