do you think an JL HD 750/1 could run 2 of these? I wouldn't mind running 2 of these bad boys they seem like a sure bet. Go big or go home

I will be doing upfire. I've used both up and downfire enclosures, and downfire gives me way too much air noise at high excursion which decreases SQ a lot. Upfire seems to disperse the air better since there arent mounting feet in the way, I like it a lot better.

Devildog they are due to arrive at SI at the end of January and will ship immediately, so I'm expecting them within the first 2 weeks of February.
My downfire box is so snug, no feet are needed. Impossible to move. Could also do some velcro over hump so it doesn't walk from bass vibration. I worked late and didn't have time to measure box. I still don't know if BM will fit my already made box. Will check tomorrow. I have read somebody taking a hammer to seat trey to give a little room, he he he!!!!! Just a thought, might slide under seat just a little more for some to approve.

I sent an email to Nick the other day but have not received the total from him yet. I just sent another email and posted on the DIY board again. Hopefully I can get a driver from him at the group buy price. I will need some help and direction on building a box for this bad boy. I hope you guys post plenty of pictures of what you do with yours!!!

Wish I saw these cause I already had a 12 inch fiber glass box for a shallow mount.

Just sell your TW5 and get a pair of these. They should easily outperform the JL.

Ya I could do that but I already have it in the truck, and I already made another fiberglass box for it.

That says a lot when you consider the distance from the edge ofthe seat to the 'hump' under the seat going towards the rear of the cab after you've figured how much depth you need to use. In fact, this BM sub seems to be built pretty close to the shallow Pioneers in terms of dimensions, and I've tried to see if I could build an enclosure for two 12" shallow Pioneers and I couldn't come upp with anything. Then again, I know there are TONS of people better with mobile electronics than me. I'm waiting to see if mSaLL150 is going to use these subs and how his build/install is going to be.
The 13TW5 is shallower than the BM mkIII, but if you're looking for the shallowest sub out there the Soundstream Stealth 13 is only 2" deep. The BM mkIII is an inch deeper, but even though its diaphragm is smaller it still out-displaces the TW5 while offering more linear, and stable, excursion (Xmax) and lower and more stable inductance due in part to the shorting ring directly in the middle of the magnetic gap. The shallow BM's design began with one crucial consideration: what's the shallowest we can go while providing beyond expected performance. The 3.5" depth was what we calculated. With over 13mm of one-way stroke, a huge 10" diameter spider, low and linear inductance, a 10 ring neo cluster motor, and lots of low-end performance out of a shoe-box sized 0.5 ft^3 sealed enclosure, it is going to set a new benchmark. The 5 or 6 people that heard the mkII version (single slug ferrite motor) absolutely loved it, and the mkIII is better (higher motor force to help with the mass). I can't wait to get these little suckers in so I can have some bass back in my ride.

The faint noise you can hear when I flip the driver over is the air moving past my fingers which were inside the pole piece (idiot). I drew a few people over at the shop where the video was taken without saying what I was doing. The first guy came up and said "damn that's quiet! I didn't even know you had it playing."

*edit*
I had to put on my Beyer Dynamic DT77's to hear any noise. At the shop we couldn't hear anything, but the video camera picked up a tiny tiny hint of noise.
