Noyce. You have most everything ordered just waiting on arrival, or still in the ordering process?

Im going to move the alpine 5x7s that are currently up front to the back, run them off the HU faded for slight rear fill (i'll probably only turn them on when i have people riding back there). Im going to 'give the little amp i had on them back to my friend who i was borrowing from.

My crappy *** 10" subwoofer/box i might try to sell but i doubt anyone will want it. We'll see.

Ideas....

Okay, so my amplifier should be here in a couple days. The amp is capable of 2x100 @4 or 200x2 @2. I originally planned to just power the components off both channels for 100 rms each, but a new idea has sparked.

I could run the comps both off the front channel, giving them nominal power still, and use the second channel to power some 6.5s or a single 8" for some thicker midbass. I could put 6.5s in the back doors or fit a single slim mount 8 under the seat over then "hump", and have the BM 12s on the sides. This could work because the BM only require .5 cubes each, so my box could easily fit a 3rd chamber for a 8" wanging some midbass.

Is this a stupid idea or not? Too much midbass? If it sounds good, what do you guys recommend for either a pair of 6.5s off 100W each or a single 8" off 200 @ 2ohm??

I'd wait until you get the new BM12's and hear how they hit on the midbass now that the specs have changed drastically over the older version.

My BM12's need more midbass but I'm running the older model and the masses say these things really shine in a ported box. If things ever calm down around here I'm going to put them both in a 4cf vented box tuned at 34hz or dual 2cf@34hz and see how they sound that way. Box will just sit in the back seat seat belted in for safety haha.

If I was you i'd start looking at getting some 6.5" midbass for the rear doors. Check out woofersect.com I know they had several quality brands. I'm researching that crap just in case this deal goes through with a guy at working buying some of my old equipment. That link should take you to the 6.5" midbass speakers.

Lol Impact

Msall....Im a little confused. Run your components off just one channel, and some mids off the other channel??? How many channels is your front stage amp? If you did that you would have no R-L...just all mono like sound.

I dont think I would want any speakers but subwoofers under my back seat either....

Yeah you're right I'm just bored at work and being retarded. Still in the ordering stage and thinking way too much about it/coming up with random ideas. Fail.

I'll just throw the alpines back there faded way back.
