didnt break in subwoofers....

didnt break in subwoofers....

so after having the subs in my truck for three days and constant full volume, and alot of bass songs.. i was informed that i have to break in my subs, is it too late? did i mess them up? what is the point of breaking them in, how do i? should i start now anyways

I have never, EVER "broken in" a subwoofer.

I break in all of my speakers... By cranking the living chit out of them right out of the box...

thanks all. wheeew i am glad because i got scared everyone said i had to break them in but if you all say its ok then ill believe you. thanks

Yeah, I have heard people say it before, but have never done it. Never really had any problems that I could say were from improper break in also.

it is true tho, speakers do have a break in period, you shouldn't baby them tho. the suspension is usually a little stiff when new. after you "break" them in after about a day or two the suspension will soften up

I had to break in my SR's. They sounded like chit for the first week and I was about to rip them out. Now Im more than happy.
