On another note, has anyone dabbled with iPod video in the car. As most of your probably know, there are a lot of new Blueray movies that are shipping with a digital copy disc. It has an iPod cable version of the movie on it. Very cool. However, my Alpine W505 just plain sucks when it comes to iPod video. Sure it plays just fine but, the control is aweful. If I turn the truck off and back on, the W505 goes to music instead of the video I was playing. If I then go back to the video, it starts from the beginning again. And then if I push next it goes to the next video, not the next chapter. I can hold down the next button on the W505 and fast forward but that takes forever if your 45 minutes in to the movie. I checked on the iPod itself and when you push the next arrow on it, it goes to the next chapter. Anyway, now I am ranting. I love being able to have several movies on the iPod in case with forget to bring a DVD for the little one to watch in the back. But, the Alpine control is just aweful. Does anyone know if there is another head unit that handles it better? Kenwood, Clarion, Pioneer, Eclipse? Would love to have some feedback on this.

 

Thanks Doug I really appreciate your input. You just inspired me to get the Single max. I'm going to build a box that is somewhere around 1.3 or 1.4 for it. It is going to be wedged between my center console and back seat upfiring. It should eat up that sundown 1500d. I'm excited to see how it sounds. I bet it will be plenty loud.. Or I hope so atleast!

Have you looked into the F-Series Pioneers yet? Their iPod Video interface is VERY well done.

I pointed out the misreading of my post that involved a comma which led to a whole bunch of replies saying I said rainbow was made in the us, which I didn't. You have yet to say anything of value to contradict what I've been saying about quality products and you've admitted to not using anything of high quality. So drop the grammar crap. It's pointless.

 

Whatever, fine dont care. I have listened extensively to many high quality brands as many can attest to. But okay whatever YOU ARE A FREAKING GOD. Now, screw with any other thread, just leave me this one, ALONE.
