well theres your problem, lol lets just say that I'm the only one (that I know of) running dual optimas under the hood in the stock location.

the box is almost done. all I really need to do is cut two more speaker holes and finish the maple front. had to go maple cause mdf would just rip apart.. imagine trying to pound tee nuts into 3/4 x 3/4 inch mdf every 2 inches..... ya split city... need some real grain for this one

Well now there I can help. Firstly if you Must use T-nuts .. dont pound em in. Line up the hole and put a washer on the bolt, then pull em into place. Alot easier !

BUT ... I wouldnt use T-nuts, go back to PE and pick up some knife inserts. WAY more dependable that the Ts..

the question is can you get those flush with the wood? tee nuts suck cause they always stick out the back about 1/16th. I need something that WON'T spin, won't pull through and wil stay where I put it. tee nuts are good for that but they don't sit flush...

Yes, you can order em with or without a flange and sizes that can stay embedded into the wood and not go through the back. For extra security a drop of glue can go on each as well. Drawback of Ts is that sometimes a tooth or two will break off leaving it nearly impossible to take a driver back out. If PE doesnt have the right sizes for you, you can get em from www.mcmaster.com

The ones in my current box are worthless, I ended up friggin turning the driver a little bit and running screw to mount the sub.....

Hey did you ever figure out your curve delima for your amp rack???

I was thinking if you made the end panel and middle supports out of MDF and cut the curves into the supports you could use 1/4" masonite to make the face panel.

or you could use something like this:
