yea bending won't be easy. I tried that with MDF and unless you go with plywood you're not going to get a very tight bend. I wouldn't trust MDF to hold up after cutting that much out to make a bend anyways since you'd have to cut about 80% through, still the board will crack and tear.

On second thought look at these:

They should come unfinished with no veneer. Get the half rounds and cut them to fit your angles.

that's not a bad idea. I'd have to find a way to route an new angle in it since I'm not using 90's more like 110 at the top and 125 at the front under the amps. Ill have to work it out in cad to look the best but I think that might be an option

the only way I know of to *bend* wood is lots of steam and patience. That may not be good for MDF though

There's also the method of using a miter saw and cutting slots about 1/8-1/4" apart for curves. I've seen it done in a few of my Wood magazines. Mostly for decoration. MDF would probably fall into saw dust if it was steamed haha.

why not frame it with the mdf and then carpet/felt over to get your curves then fiberglass it? then you could ptm or cover in matching carpet/vinyl

thats prob the easiest way to do the curve

i'm assuming you have no backseat at all lol

full backseat, the goal is to keep 100% funtionality of the truck. I could glass it but I HATE!!!!! working with fiberglass when I don't have too

BTW wire is ordered:

27 ft of 1/0ga
20 ft of 4ga
80 ft of 8ga
100 ft 12ga speaker
and a set of RCA's

and since the price of copper is skyrocketing I like knowing I'll earn a return on my investment when I sell the wire for scrap lol

Oh yeah forgot to add:

As far as the amp rack, 'glass really would be the way to go if you ask me.

Or else dont they make some type of hard foam type stuff that you can saw or sand into shape? Maybe something like that would work??

I know it. Think of what wire used to cost just a couple years ago and now look at it; flipping crazy. Would save a lot of money if it wasnt for that.
