Tim, This thread is addicting. It is making me want to do a similar install in my truck. I have to resist the urge right now but, in the spring I get tax returns and bonus all at the same time! I am sure some of that will be burning a hole in my pocket. Keep up the good work, I am completely jealous.

I think it ended up being about 5 on the exterior skin. 2 on the inside of the interior and another 2-3 on the other side. it was such a pain that I fear doing my drivers door now

1 layer inside of exterior skin, 1 layer outside of inside interior skin and covered in Sound Blocker.....

I had to stand in the door jamb and put pressure on the panel at the bottom with one foot and hands on the top of panel to get it on....

she's nice and tight.....

between the deadener and mat, I'm at a heavy 5/16 and this mat doesn't compress much at all....

Ok, Rainbow are done....just got to set my amps tomorrow....Gains and Hi Pass, Low Pass Filters.... fine tuning....

So far, All I can say is......... WOOOOWWWWWW, Man they sound frigging awesome, after they break in, I can't imagine them sounding any better, but everybody saids they will after 10 to 15 Hrs play time... hell, thats going to be unbelievable........

Midbass is just unbelievable, with the Polks, I could pick the sub bass right out... almost point to it... now, sub bass blends so well with these Rainbows, now impossible to point out the sub as it should be...
Tweeter are just clear and crisp, not harsh at all... no ear piercing highs...

My hats off to Bryan for talking me into and hooking me up with these Rainbow speakers......

They are as awesome as you said.... Maybe more......

Bryan, If our paths ever cross, the on me....

I'm glad you like them...and, it was my pleasure. You did a great install...in my mind, that's 90% of how they sound right there.

Enjoy...and spread the word. Rainbows are by far the best speakers I've come across.

BTW, let me know what xover setting (on the Germs) you end up with.
